Okay, was just curious.

BTW, is NECA ever going to show off the other two Godzillas they have been talking about since Toyfair?

Did NECA say they were going to be making a Godzilla Resurgence figure? I thought they said they were going to, but I can't remember.

I haven't heard any comment on Shin-Goji, but I do recall NECA saying there would be 5 figure. I keep wondering if the Burning Godzilla counted among those 5.

I mean, I love that we got the 84, and 54, and we'll be getting a 01', but I'm so confused as to why they didn't pick suits easier to do retools for. The Heisei suit is a good one, 64, 68, 73, 99 would all be good contenders for easy retools.

I'm done expecting anything in the way fo much from NECA. They'll probably show off the GMK Godzilla and then a repaint of the 54 Godzilla, which will come out in June 2018.

Pretty sure NECA is going to do latest Godzilla versions before anything else, mainly because that'll equal more money. Probably put a pause on development on the other ones they were working on to get this done ASAP to be released the the US alongside the film. Though, I do like how they lied to me a few weeks ago when I asked them about G'16. Ha.

Which is why they should be capitalizing on the damn Showa era.

Well it makes more sense to capitalize on the new movie. Hopefully this does well and we get more Showa

I've mostly crossed over to only getting stylized vinyls, but I may get a NECA Shin Godzilla if it's as good as that preliminary sculpt.

I love how rough and bumpy the Shin Godzilla figure looks. The SHMA seems a bit too smooth to my eyes.

I saw the NECA GMK Godzilla at Toys R Us yesterday. It looked a lot better in person than in photos. In fact, the only thing I didn't like about it (looking at it in the package anyway) was the face. Wish they hadn't gone for such an extreme snarl; it looks really goofy with his mouth closed. But that being said, it wasn't nearly as bad as photos had made me fear it might be. In fact, After seeing photos I had abandoned the idea of getting this figure, but seeing it in person may have changed my mind. I didn't buy it yesterday, but if I see it again I just might...

Saw the GMK in person at my local TRU. Inspecting it up close, I'm glad I spent the extra $60 and sprung for the SHMA version.

Agreed. I have not seen the figure in person yet but like you said, the snarl is very exaggerated. Everything else looks really good on it. Can't go wrong for $20. I might pick it up myself. I still think the G54 is the best of the line thus far. The GMK looks very good to take the 2nd spot.

Saw three of the GMK Godzillas at Books a Million today, and all three had the same defect to some degree: the lower jaw has a base paint of pink, and that showed through the green/grey coat over it. One was a little less noticeable, one a bit moreso, and one was almost entirely pink.
