My NECA Goji '54 is kinda hump-backed, came that way. Think if I force the body I might break it? Kinda don't want that.

Yeah you can. It's a ball joint, so it is supposed to move around.

NECA REALLY stepped their game up for this one. Only flaw I can really see is the tail is a tad short. Other than that, perfect. Can't wait to see what's next.

Only 1? What happened to the other two reveals they promised? Also, are they seriously doing the same one MonsterArts is doing? That sucks. I'm out. :P

I'm excited NECA is putting out a (more affordable) GMK Goji! I passed on the '54, though it was a nice enough looking figure, but this one I may have to pick up.

Anyone else think he's a bit too hunched over? Like this figure won't be able to not look at the ground?

I know it's a prototype and hopefully they can mostly fix that issue.

I also worry that that they'll want to add some color to the figure that shouldn't be there (blue nails on 94/Burning G).

I'd prefer another Showa G figure on the American market, but I can't deny that that's a nifty looking figure!

I imagine it'll be much like the '54 where it can be hunched over or stand right up. But without as much of a GAP!

Nice. I'll have to see both final production pieces, but I think this base sculpt might be better than the SH MonsterArts... That one just looks too lanky or something, especially in the legs. But it's sweet to have two articulated GMK figures coming to be able to choose from!

Aaah, so the line isn't dead. Excellent. I wish they would have done something that SHMA wasn't tackling, but I'll take it just the same.

This gives me hope that they'll re-release their 54 with some actual color in the mold.

I think their GMK Godzilla looks awful. The gap on here looks like it can't be fixed like it can on the MA. Hell, it looks like they went out of their way to flatten some of the spines to account for the gap.

awful is a bit strong of a word. I'm in the camp right now of liking it better than the SHMA.

I do tend to like the NECA figures slightly more in person than i do in their publicity shots, whereas I have been disappointed with a number of SHMA upon seeing them in person (especially Gigan and G'64) rather than their publicity shots.

There are definitely some red flags for me on the SHMA pictures, especially in the shots that werent released by tamashii. The shots that have been released by tamashii look fine, but have historically been a bit misleading (covering up seams entirely, articulated fingers, range of motion the figure cant manage, teeth that are the right size, eyes that arent derpy, etc)

I guess what i am trying to say, is that both figures look better to me than the Bandai standard, but beyond that i'm reserving judgement until they are on the street. Neither line has pre-order status from me anymore.

I don't know what it is, but I just don't like the pictures of the NECA toy. The fact that he has a bendy tail doesn't help matters either.

On the other hand, I think I prefer NECA's 54 due to him not having the derpy eyes.

But G54 did have derpy eyes. You want a figure that's not accurate?

I want a figure that looks like a monster, not a rubber suit.

So basically you want some thing completely different than what was in the movie. Got it

Don't you collect "styled" figures as well?

THe kick ass looking stuff.

Is the 01' the last Goji NECA is releasing?

I mean stylized in general. It always makes me chuckle when I see someone sprout the "IT DOESN'T LOOK LIKE A PERFECT MOVIE RECREATION!!!11!!!!" when talking about a line like NECA (and especially Trendmasters) when they then go and spend $80+ on a Marmit. Which don't get me wrong, Marmits do look pretty awesome (SpaceGodzilla looks like trash though). M1 isn't half bad either (a lot better than the Happy Meal Bullmarks, anyway). The whole "it's suppose to be stylized so it doesn't count" argument is just childish. Like a 16-year old saying she's still virgin after breaking up with her boyfriend and saying "Well he doesn't count!" (cookie to whoever gets that reference. Don't make me feel old.)

Is Marmit the one that made that black Gigan that had spikes instead of its middle wing? If so, I hated that thing. I got it when I was 9 and I couldn't stand that he wasn't accurate to the movie.

No, that was Bandai in one of their more curious moves. That Gigan wasn't a great figure in general.
