The 54 mold looks good so far. If Godzilla 2000 is not on their lists of to do stuff, maybe a Showa centered line is what they're aiming for. Godzilla 62, 68 anyone!?

I just hope the figures don't look so damn glossy.

Price does not always dictate quality. Case in point: Banpresto '54's and 2000's. Got mine for $30 each when they first came out.

Neca's G14 is a solid figure. His sculpt is excellent. For the price, it's a great value.

The rest of Neca's Godzilla figures suck, bar none. They're inaccurate figures with horrible paint jobs. The G85 was so bad they had to redo the head (presumably) because of fan uproar. The fact that Neca even showcased the original sculpt with the derpy face should demonstrate how bad this line is, but even with the much improved head I still think the G85 sucks. He has wonky proportions with jacked up spikes. No thanks. The burning G repaint is garbage because the 94, while not horrendous, isn't great to begin with. The Burning paint job just makes it worse.

The G54 is actually a good sculpt, but Neca's newest banner from their website seems to show they updated the head a little and it looks worse than the first prototype. I'll reserve judgement until the 54 is released, but compared to how good Neca's Pacific Rim releases are, I'm very disappointed in their Godzilla offerings.

I wanted to tell NECA that this isn't the way to go (to have a happy Godzilla fan following), but I held back. This just looks plain strange. I do like that they made two of the back fins larger, but they look too large for the body. Credit goes to Importing Monsters blog for posting the picture.

Neca is really half-@$$ing this line... Seriously this is puzzling. If they gave it half the care Aliens, PacRim, Predator or Gremlins got I would be thrilled... Wtf.

That is incredibly poor. I thought they were doing better after the significant redo of '84 and the promising look at '54, but this depletes faith something serious.

I don't know what to think of NES Godzilla but damn G84 with larger fins not good hopefully they retool it.

It's a cool concept but just needs better execution.
