At this point, only Bandai can save us when it comes to Otachi. I don't think NECA is going to make one...>_>

I just wonder why...Otachi seems to be more popular than every kaiju but Knifehead. Am I wrong?

Knifehead is the poster-child but Otachi is the fan favorite.

Finally got my C.Tango and C.Alpha. here is a size comparison for the figures. (They aren't all to scale from my perspective).

So, some news from NECA.

Scunner and Axehead will NOT be considered series 4. They are now referred to as "standalone deluxe kaiju". Both out in the summer. Scunner in June and Axhehead in late summer, so perhaps August.

Looks like your Crimson Typhoon has the same collapsed knee problem that mine does. Makes the figure *way* more stable, but also shrinks his height quite a bit. :/ Really don't like the leg joints and weight distribution on that figure. All those fancy poses I've seen him in online can only be done for about a minute max on mine before falling over. I really wish these had some kind of revoltech type joint system, especially for the legs.

That said, I ordered Coyote Tango and Cherno Alpha.

just to add to that, later on this year Crimson Typhoon and Striker Eureka will be getting a 2.0 retool release just like Gypsy Danger. That should fix the joints and swaying stand poses that most all have talked about.

No, Striker and Crimson aren't getting 2.0s. They're just getting re-released. Nothing new to them.

I hope "deluxe" doesn't indicate a change in scale.

Well, Scunner is technically bigger than Knifehead. So it would be consistent with the movie at least. I wouldn't mind.

I'd be OK if they maintained scale, but they didn't maintain scale between their two Knifehead releases already, so who knows what we'll get.

Well the first Knifehead was a slip up. The story goes that originally, the Knifehead design was that small in the movie. Ut Legendary then changed it to a bigger size. NECA couldn't make changes in time and released it as is.

I'm really bummed out that I didn't grab a Leatherback, now I see them running for around $40-$50. My local Toys R Us only carried the series 1, where I was able to get knidehead. Honestly, I just want to see an Otachi and Slattern, maybe a Raiju too. But I'm considering just grabbing all the Kaiju I can so I don't regret it later.

Considering picking up Tresspasser and Cherno Alpha or maybe the new Gypsy when they release her, thoughts? Good figures or no? I just want one mech and one kaiju from the film.

I'm getting really tempted by the large scale Cherno Alpha. There's something about the clunkyness of the design that makes me want a big ole' version.
As far as Tresspasser, I don't like the design as much as Knifehead's, but his articulation is better. The design of that head allows for a lot more movement than Knifehead. It's one of the better and bigger kaiju releases.

Thanks I think Tresspasser might be my favorite, or at least my favorite that's had a figure of it made so far....Otachi rules.

I'm leaning towards just biting the bullet and ordering Tresspasser and Cherno, both have had excellent reviews from what I've seen.

Cherno is one of the few Jaegers I want a toy of, unless Tacit Ronin shows up (which I highly doubt).

NECA confirmed months ago that they're working on the prologue Jaegers.

I am sad to say that about a week ago I swung by my local Toys R Us to see if they had the Trespasser and new Knifehead, as they hadn't received any Pacific Rim figures since the series 1, only to find that they had all the Jaegers, but no Kaiju =(. It was straight out of a Christmas movie... a row of Jaegers, with empty slots under them, with all the price tags but no figures. But since we're on the subject of PR figures, JEEZ I really need to catch up. Has Leatherback always been $30, or is that just because I missed the initial release??

I remember that, but I just assumed, since it was something I wanted, it'd never make it to production. XD

Just got Tresspasser and Cherno Alpha in the mail and holy "OH GODZILLA! WHAT TERRIBLE LANGUAGE!" they're incredible. Excellent figures that have shot up to the top of my faves list. Won't be buying anymore from the line as these are my favorite kaiju and jaegar respectively but I'm SO glad I got them, and for the price point, wow! I mean, I own a lot of X Plus and yet I'm staring at these two all the time now.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED if you haven't picked them up already!!
