Well it's a thing of beauty. As is the figure 2nd to the left.

That would be the Pilot Ace figure.

I just noticed all the Gigabrains in the back!!! Lol. That's a lot of Gigabrains! They're smaller than I thought they'd be but still cool as all heck.

They're not that small. Really about as big as the two Monster Heaven figures.

Just got back in town so here's a couple old pics I already have. Sorry if the quality stinks:

First up, here's a not great pic of the glow variant Gigabrain G'62:
Image

I think the standard M1 G62 was posted earlier, but here's mine with a couple glow variants:

Finally here's an unpainted sample of the 50th Ann. Memorial Box Bandai G'62 I got off Yahoo Japan several years ago:

What's a fair asking price for the Bandai Museum?

1996 Bandai Forever version Godzilla '62
Image

OK, I am not positive if this is the 1996 Bandai Forever version. I bought it with a lot of other figures and it does not have a tag. ClubTokyo says the G'62 Forever version (as well as '95 Memorial Box) were molded in charcoal grey and it is the softer squishy vinyl as it should be.

My figure is pitch black, inside and out, so can someone confirm if theirs is also pure black rather that charcoal grey? The fins and nails certainly match up with the colors on ClubT however the front chest and knee light grey highlights are missing. A production line mistake or someone repainted it?

Also, the newest Spotlight thread starts tomorrow and Glow-nut has graciously agreed to pick up the kaiju torch for this coming week, thx!

Both the 1995 Memorial Box figure and the 1996 Godzilla Forever figure are pretty much the same color. The big difference is the gray spray on the front of the forever figure.

So Mike, would you describe your Memorial box fig as being molded in a pure black vinyl (easy to just pop the tail off)?

The absence of highlights on the front of your too seems to then say that mine is also the Memorial box.
Also indicated by the absence of a tag hole since the MB figs did not have attached tags.

Thanks for the ID help!

I guess it's pure back. The tail is glued in place though, it doesn't come off.

This is my favorite Showa Godzilla. The M1, Marmit MH, and both Bandais are definitely on my list, and I'm always on the lookout for another Gigabrain variant.

Here's a figure that hasn't been spotlighted, and this variant hasn't been posted yet. Pilot Ace!

Image

Right up there with the Gigabrain IMO.

And here's another Marmit Giant for good measure.

I like when glow figures have a slight color scheme I like. Because I already like the sculpts and the fact it glows, may as well have it look good while the lights are on.

Similar to my pic of the Bear Model G'62, here is the Bandai SD representation of the King-Goji first appearance.
I love the Bandai SD series but really appreciate the more lively and detailed versions such as in this Godzilla Impact! set from 2005.

I've almost purchased that toy, and several others from the same line, on numerous occasions.
