I think 64 is my favorite Showa suit as well.

Thanks, that reminded me of my West Kenji SD version:

And this Spark Dino is arguably based on the King-Goji suit. Fun toy none the less and had to include a pic!

And here's another pic of the the M1Go G'62 which was included in the Classic Box set from 2002.

Mr. KaijuZoo...you surely must run a zoo. :D You have a lot of outstanding figures and you make me zealous! :P

Though this is not one of my favorite Goji designs, I must say seeing the vinyls made me reconsider it some. I suppose threads like this help to promote various characters you may just overlook. 8-)

Thx Tim, yes, that's why I call it the place "Where the Monsters Live". Unfortunately I have more figures than space to display them all, that's why some of them are still bagged. Plus I have all my inventory for sale that is not listed on the the website.

This is one of my very favorite suits! Unfortunately, I'm on vacation in Portland for a week, so I can't take pictures of any of the figures I have at home, and it'll be another week beyond that before I can get pics of the KingGojis I have at work.

However, on the ridiculous coincidence side of the fence, this morning I opened this Christmas gift from my parents (I know Legion already posted this figure, but I just got it, gosh darn it!):

That's awesome, you were obligated to post with a coincidence like that.

Yeh, so far these threads have been awesome. I have definitely gained a lot of appreciation for some companies i didn't really know much about.

Oh, although it'll still be the better part of a week before I'm home to take pictures of more KingGojis, I remembered I already have a few uploaded of this lovely bootleg version:

Wait, who made that bootleg? I quite like it, especially with that Kong there.

It was from a series of 2001 boots of the Kaiyodo sculpts, by a Chinese outfit with the figs labeled as Toho Eiga on the foot. Before I even knew there were boots, I used it as the very first of my KaijuZoo exclusive series, paying homage to the Bandai paint job.

Ok, so here's some pics of the only 62 Goji I own right now. I plan on buying the Memorial Box figure soon though..

Here you go. The best 62 Godzilla to date (at least in "realistic" style)...the 30cm X Plus figure.

And just for fun...

Man it always kinda bums me out how they have 90s Gamera figures that are so hunched over. I understand he's a hunchin' kinda fella, but he also has more dynamic poses too.

That X-Plus 62 is real nice. Never seen one in detail like that before.

I never realized it but yeah, the Hesei Gameras hunch quiet a bit, in the 96 and 99 in particular. Looking at the designs though, it's only makes sense considering how big their shells are and the size/position of their legs.

My favorite Godzilla suit of all time. The original '62 Bandai Godzilla was my first Bandai G as a kid, and remains one of my all-time favorite toys (just after G1 Grimlock).

BTW, I was watching Godzilla vs. Biollante yesterday and noticed the giant '62 Godzilla statue in the office of one of the characters...was that an actual licensed item, or a prop for the movie? I was assuming the former since it was obviously a very inaccurate Godzilla design for the monster of that film (and the previous one).

I dont know the answer to your question, but most heisei and millenium movies have at least one figure present somewhere

I usually prefer the 25cm sculpts to 30cm sculpts for X-Plus... this would be a definite exception

Since this thread has just about petered out, here's a photo of my '62 collection...

This is an older photo though, I sold the brown Monster Heaven figure a while back.

That's the Bandai Museum figure.

That's not the same as the Bandai Memorial Box earlier in this thread then? Is it possible you could take a pic of just that figure? How tall is it?

I really want that as well. It's about 8-9 inches I believe. X Plus sculpted it.

What's the big Godzilla in the back, right side?

I think that's the Largescale Marmit Monster Heaven Godzilla 1962, the same color scheme I have as well.

Yes it is. I love the thing so much. It may be my favorite Godzilla figure period. (I really dig large scale figures even if the 62 Godzilla design isn't my favorite)
