I waited for them to pop up on eBay too because I wasn't comfortable with my other options. I got this set for a decent price.

Yes the mouth does open and close, but not through an articulated joint. The set includes an extra lower jaw piece (top right corner of the picture). Changing between facial expressions require removing the lower jaw manually, after using a blow dryer, then fitting the other mouth piece in. I didn't swap the jaw pieces yet, but I plan to do it at least once.

The Ricboy comes with a replaceable closed jaw. The non ricboy was open mouthed, but you will have a choice how to display yours.
With the original run I saw a lot of complaints about the closed jaw not closing tight enough. (Jump back through this thread for my lame solution..which worked for me)...maybe they fixed it on the reissue

I kept reading that the best way to force the jaw closed was to attack it with a blow dryer and hold it closed with a hair tie or something similar.

I have the original RIC Boy release of this from 2012, but I never tried it.

That's pretty much what I did, but I used a cotton shoe lace to avoid paint rubs... But mostly because I didn't think to use a hair tie...

Oh so its two seperate jaws! Thats awesome and the fact it comes with Minya makes it all worth it. The seller I bought from on ebay had two left for $198.00. But when I checked the listing today, he jacked up the last one to $280!

Anyone looking for G'84, Clawmark got it for $325 in box. That site is still selling btw, takes a while but the guy is suffering. Be patient.

Some pics have surfaced from Wonderfest.

Apparently we are getting a light up Biollante and G89 (not sure if Goji lights up) as a Ricboy set (according to FB). They have also announced G91 from Sakai. We also have pics of G64, Mothra 64 (with Egg), Gamera 99 reissue, G2004 reissue, and G89.

I was wondering if X-Plus would make a Dinosaur Tank figure someday. Prototype looks good from that angle and I'll definitely wait for the preorders open up. I wouldn't mind if the model even included some sculpted caster wheels under the tank, though I doubt that would happen.

I would be thrilled to see them release 25cm Gabara, Kamakiras and Titanosaurus. Maybe Kong and Mechanikong, but there's apparently licensing issues involved.

I'll be picking up the 91 for sure. One of my favorite suits. They've killed it with the sculpt for the 14 as well so I'll grab him too unless they mess up the paint.

Double post, but according to a person who attended Wonderfest on FB, X Plus said the standard version of G14 will come with both heads. He did say that he hoped the guy understood his question properly, but that's still pretty cool if true.

Yeah and he also said that the 2014 figure should be available for pre-order by the end of March.

I can't wait. I know I've talked a lot of "OH GODZILLA! WHAT TERRIBLE LANGUAGE!" about that movie and the design but I've really come around on both. I think it just took a while for me to get over the fact that the 2014 Godzilla was kind of it's own thing. I went in expecting, and wanting, to see "the destroyer of worlds." What we got instead was actually better and more original, truer to the spirit of what Godzilla is in America, in my opinion.

Anywho, it bums me out that a lot of you have sold your X Plus figures but I'm kind of doing the same thing. I've narrowed my collection down to just Godzilla and Gamera for the most part (I'd buy a Hyper Gyaos in a second though).

I think when it's all said and done my X Plus collection will look like this:

i just wonder how X-Plus is going to handle the raised tail on the Sakai 91, since they let the 89 drag on the ground. They could add weight to the feet and body, but it would be cheaper to do a prop/pin like Sakai does for the model display... or they can let it drag on the ground and we'll get another beautiful figure showing off its toenails

ugh, I just got my first x-plus figure (Diamond reissue 30cm G'68) and I would love to get more... I always balked at these because of the insanely high prices (I STILL wish they would offer the option of buying these as unfinished vinyl kits for a lower price!) but the diamond reissues are at least kind of in the realm of normal price range for what you're getting.

But ignoring the prices, the product is pretty freaking great. I think their sculpts can be hit or miss sometimes, but when they hit, they REALLY hit home runs! Anyway, seeing the re-issue 25cm G'64 is really tempting. Escpecially paired with the new(?) Mothra '64... How much does a typical 25cm xplus cost on initial release these days?

The last three normal 25cm releases (Baragon standing, MechaGodzilla secret base, King Seesar) were all under 9810 yen on Hobby Search (approximately $82) which is less than some SHMA figures.. i think 30cm is about double that.. so on par with what Diamond is selling them at. The key with X-Plus is preordering, because they are made to order and if you aren't preordering you are buying from someone that did and paying whatever markup they add.

huh, not as much as I thought. Still pricey but not any moreso than what I've paid for Marmits or Gigabrains in the same scale.

And, on a side note, the reason you mention is exactly why I only own 3 monsterarts. Two of which I got for much less than their SRPs... They're cool, but most of them really ARE overpriced by an easy 20-30% IMO.

Hopefully this means I could get another shot at collecting the 30 cm Manda figure. One of the biggest (Un)buyer's remorse on my list.
