Here's my Gigabrain family.



I seem to be one of the few people in English kaiju collector circles who bought this variant of the Kingoji. To be honest, I just really wanted a GB Kingoji, and this colorway wasn't my first choice, but the dark purple really looks excellent especially in sunlight.

So a big thanks to Mike from the clubtokyo marketplace for helping me track down one of these for a reasonable price when I'm so late to the game! I am now the proud owner of the incredible Gigabrain King Ghidorah!! This sucker is HUGE. And heavy. and just plain awesome! Easily the best King Ghidorah figure out there, bar none. This is one of those things that instantly becomes one of the centerpieces of any collection. My only complaint is I have NO IDEA where I'm gonna put this guy. Earlier this year I relocated for a new job which involved selling my house & moving into a tiny 1 br apt. for the time being. Which means I have very little display space at the moment...

But you know what? I don't even care. This guy is just too cool. I'd like to be objective and offer a balanced review with some sort of criticism, but I just can't find anything negative to say about this figure. Gigabrain hit a grand slam here. It's perfect.

How much did you pay for that Gigabrain Ghidorah Canofhumdingers? Just curious. Also is the black version of the Ghidorah seen below a show exclusive?

Hmm....I may have to hunt down this bad boy as well the, since you guys are giving it so much praise. I just hope its easy to insert the wings into their sockets after using the hairdryer. Any issues with paint being damaged if you use the hairdryer for too long?

Also does anyone know how limited the black variant of Ghidorah is? How many were made? Is the black version getting rare? I might miss out again on this one just like what happened with the CCP Ghidorah black version....

I had no trouble with the Grand King Ghidorah's wings. I must have lucked out then.

Thanks for replying guys. If I may ask what was the suggested retail price of Ghidorah in the first place? And at this point in the game is $200 (without shipping) a steal for one of these ghidorahs? And if anyone knows, is there a way to detach the ones after inserting them? You know just in case I want to package, store or sell these figures in the future?

I really wish GB would release the Glow variant with the unique closed mouth head sculpts with a gold paint scheme. I would be all over that

Man, that's funny. I was just coming here to post the following when I saw king_ghidorah's (now rather old) post above...

Was just perusing ebay when I saw a mislabeled Gigabrain figure. It's a Godzilla '62 with about as traditional/normal a paint scheme as you could hope for. The auction description is accurate, but the title isn't. Just search for Godzilla 1962 Marmit & you'll find it. It's got about 2.5 days left... I'd love to get it myself but can't do it at the moment. So I thought at least maybe I could help it find it's way into the collection of someone on this board...
