oooh, I want the Metaluna Mutant and Robbie the Robot
Oh, and I found some Jurassic World stuff...it was the only thing in the store that wasn't LEGO. Well, there were the hand puppets but they look awful.
Here's a comparison with the AMAZING Allosaurus from the JP 3-D line back in 2013
So, Indominus isn't awful. For 20.00, he's actually decent. He comes with a tiny man and one of the pods from the movie (although I keep calling it a Trouble Bubble...but G.I. Joe this is not). Anyhow, the sculpt is decent he has a biting attack and a slight kind of thrashing attack (like the Allosaurus from the 3-D line). It doesn't work all that well, but whatevs. Sure, the best scenario would be to get stuff like we did in 2013 (I still kind of hope the movie/toyline is a smash hit and Hasbro offers the remaining 2 dinos from that as an exclusive somewhere). The hollow plastic kind of reminds me of the electronic dinos, but it works well here. No electronics, but there's a springloaded dino-damage gimmick which I think is kind of inspired. The attached piece from the 3-D one is cool, but this allows for quick exposure if you were say, well...the age these are meant for and fighting. The blood around the I-Rex's mouth is sloppy as hell, but I can live with it. Especially since the finer details on the eyes worked out well.
All around I think this is better than JP3's stuff.
Except the Tapejara. I loved that toy.
