I would have thought surely Baragon would have made them a profit. I remember most everyone ecstatic about having an articulated Baragon after all this time. Well I guess maybe it didn't make those numbers then based on what you heard. The Legion Queen while looks pretty good (to me) probably would have sold better if it was larger (IMO).

Just browsed ebay quick to look at the average revoltech kaiju prices and they're not much higher than what they were when they were originally released. Seems like they're all readily available and stocked on shelves somewhere.

I was hoping for more kaiju too.

Well like I posted before, this Revoltech isn't in the Sci-Fi Revoltech line, but I figured it would be okay for this thread as an update. This July the Rathalos figure is going to be released.

Image

It will come with the fireball projectile, and the Monster Hunter mini-figure for "hunting" the Rathalos.

and seems that the Rathalos will soon afterwards have the sub-species or variant...

I don't know of any details on that just as yet. Though if anyone does, do update. :)

I was wondering if the monster hunter figures had been released. They look nice, but are really low priority.

I need to buy one of those games sometime soon.

speaking of the new Revoltech Spiderman, here is a latest pic... (looks very good to me)

I guess it remains to be seen whether there will be a Peter Parker head swap accessory.

Oh, so they're doing the 07' Spidey. I figured it'd be the new one since that film is coming out.

Again, I'm still kind of like "ugh" I mean. How many articulated figures of THAT Spidey have been released now? Give me a kaiju, plz.

well it looks like it beats a lot of Spidey figures that came out here. With the exception of the movie releases though done by Toybiz, that is the only real competition. I have that first movie release done by Toybiz. The one that set the articulated figure world on fire that year. LOL! I have a second comics styled Spidey, but that Revoltech one will be interesting to watch to see if they give a Peter Parker head like what they did with Iron Man in giving the Robert Downey, Jr. head swap part.

Well if it comes with a Tobey McGuire head, that will at least be good for a laugh.

On an impulse buy, which I partly blame on one of the kaiju viewing poll threads, I picked up Showa Gyaos. What sold me was a pic I found where he had his wings folded back so he had actual arms like in the movie. Unfortunately while there are revoltech joints at the "hands" to allow this pose, the wing itself has no swivel point to fold back, so to accomplish this pose you're bending the rubber wing in a way that just doesn't feel right. Dissappointing.

Other than that, the figure is good. I had forgotten about the mini blasting off Gamera, which I really like. The beam with the sliced jet accessory is very nice too.

I've neglected the Gamera releases from this because of the Monster Arts stuff :/

Maybe if I ever get caught up on that.

I've been slowly picking up some of the kaiju figures...Showa Gamera, Baragon, Majin, Rodan, and Mogeura. Was the Gigan produced in a much smaller quantity? Its sold out everywhere, and has waaay too high of prices on Ebay. Weird since all the others are about the same price wise while Gigan is twice the amount.

I think there was just higher demand for Gigan.

a shame that the line has essentially come to a halt since the MA figures started releasing. I was wondering if they were going to do the Gamera III suit along with Irys. Then too I wonderd if they were going to do some other Showa monsters. To me it would have helped the line if their figures were larger. That Legion Queen would have looked stunning in higher scale.

I actually don't like the Legion as much. The leg section is rather unlike the suit, and a bit too EXTREME!!! for my tastes. Same with the coloring of the figure. I'll stick to my old Bandai. :)
