I really wish i had video taped that session at this point

Maybe the rumor's wrong then, and it's just the characters. We know Toho deals them on a character-by-character basis (per IDW). If that's the case, then, they must have the rights back (since SHMA has done Rodan).

That said, I know Toho makes IDW adhere to the specific origin of each era's design for a specific character (so Showa Mechagodzilla has to be alien-made, Heisei Mechagodzilla has to be human-made, and Millennium Mechagodzilla has to be somehow based on Godzilla's own body), so it's possible they still parse out the rights to specific eras.

a long time since update, but seems like after the Iron Man wave of figures, and now the Batmobile Tumbler vehicles from the Christian Bale movies are soon to release in this line, yet comes another vehicle. From Thunderbirds, the Thunderbird 2 aircraft...

You would wonder how does it scale up with Ultra-Acts and MonsterArts. :P

I have seen where Giant Robot from the Johnny Sokko show is getting a re-release in July. It will also come with a GR2 robot head as an extra incentive. According to the Sci-Fi Revoltech site, there is supposed to be some enhanced mobility in this re-release figure. In other words, it is a bit "new" rather than a re-release of the same figure from before.

and in other Revoltech news...not necessarily Sci-Fi Revoltech...another Monster from the Monster Hunter line is headed to Revoltech.

I recently saw that Kaiyodo is making Vic Viper from Zone Of The Enders. I'm very happy to see that as a figure.

They just need to do 3 more, and they're in the clear with me.

well this thread hasn't been updated in a long while, but the Johnny Sokkko Giant Robot gets re-released in July. In September, the Jason & The Argonauts Skeletal Warrior gets re-released as well.

THE BUMPNESS OF ALL BUMPNESS!

So I have the Daimajin en route and am eyeing my next (and probably last) Revoltech figure - Rodan (refuse to pay more than $50 for one of these things). I love the Moguera and Baragon I own and was wondering if anybody else wished this line still ran like it did? I know everyone is fapping to SH Monsterarts, but this is the precursor and featured more of the Showa kaiju. It really seems like this like could have seen more obscure Toho kaiju, such as Frankenstein, the Gargantuas, hell, maybe Dogora and Varan too. It's hard to imagine they didn't have a Godzilla in mind before the line collapsed. I also love the prices that they *originally* sold for compared to the Tamashi figures, but that's a whole different story.

Sagae mentioned at G-Fest a couple years back that they never got permission for "the big three" (it might have been related to Bandai) . he'll be there this year as well so maybe we can find out more.
I really liked this line. The joints over time would slide a bit leaving the figures starting to do the splits, but overall i prefer the fewer points of articulation

Toho considers MechaGodzilla and Ghidorah over Mothra? O_o. Awkward.

I just wish this line didn't collapse. I imagine, by now, we'd have seen the likes of Varan and Kumonga, two kaiju that need WAY more figure love. Maybe even some other non-Toho/Daiei kaiju, like Gappa and Guilala. Hell, a Buraki (from D-War) and Clover would be outstanding as well.

My Daimajin came today... and he's missing his left shoulder pad. -_-

Is this common? I got him MIB. Just finished e-mailing the seller.

Bumping this if no one minds: The Legion figure is being reissued next month under the "Legacy of Revoltech" title. It's pricier than the original but well under what it goes for now. I already pre-ordered.

I really, really wish I had more funds when this line was active. Normally I don't follow specific companies/brands, but this is one case when I would have happily purchased nearly every figure in the line.
I at least managed to snag Rodan before prices skyrocketed, and I just got the G2 Gamera since he's still easily available. So sad to see the line gone now. The Rodan is probably one of my favorite figures in my collection.
