I decided to pass on the Pilot Ace, and seeing those pics re-enforces my decision. I've been considering the Marusan, not the space titanium version, but I've also been thinking about waiting and trying to find the Monster Heaven. I'm so indecisive. I just wish I knew which was best.

After drooling over Legion's pics of the Marmit Iron Joe figures, I finally got my hands on my own thanks to our very own Mike from ClubTokyo.

These figures are simply amazing in sculpt, paint job, and in size. You really need to see these in person but here are some pictures to give you a taste of how nice these figures are. I really hope I can find the Marmit Iron Joe Anguirus......

EDIT: hmm... apparently the new MZ board doesn't recognize the image links unless they have a .jpg, gif, or tif extension.... I guess you'll have to check out the pics of these 3 baddies from the 70's on my site.

The Monster Heaven is definitely the best.

Here's my review of it from Jean Carbajal's Vinyl Madness site:
http://www.vinylmaddness.com/MMMechaG.html

I plan to do more of these eventually.

EDIT: None of those photos are working gforever. Also I got a chuckle out of the Gigan figure thread on your message board where the member found random Gigan figure pictures from Photobucket. Those are all my figures.

By the way, an online friend of mine picked up a 2 custom painted figures of Irys and Death Ghidorah. They look stunning! Space Godzilla & Monster X are the next one on the list to be customized.

The Death Ghidorah is magnificent. Cool kaiju, cool figure on it's own, awesome when fully customized like that.

Absolutely gorgeous!

I have to ask, as I'm just now starting to get into figure collecting, how difficult is it to come across the Iron Joe figures?

Ahh.... here I don't think the new MZ board likes my links for some reason. I've re-uploaded the pics to my site. If you want to see more pictures, please see them here:

They're pretty limited according to Legion. I didn't hear about them until I saw Legion's pics and I said to myself these are a must! I missed out on Anguirus because I thought it was a kit and am trying to find one now. Can anyone lend a hand?

It's my online friend's friend. I don't have the e-mail but check out my link above and click the original link to his auctions. You got to know how to read Chinese and I don't know if he ships outside of Taiwan. As of now, there are 4 days and 13 hours for the Death Ghidorah auction and 5 days and 1 hour for Irys. I can't wait to see his Space Godzilla and Monster X customs.

You can't use the image tag on a URL like this, because it doesn't end in .JPG, .GIF, etc. The links however do at least go directly to the image file, so in that way they work.

Got my first M-1 figure. Megaguirus! :D
(Thanks to Glow-Nut)
I love this thing so very much. There's very
little else M-1 has done that I've really wanted,
other than this and the GMK Goji. I think it fits
in well enough with my Marmits and my one Marusan and Pilot
Ace figure

Yea, thats what I figured so I gave a direct link with the pictures above.

Anyways, for those interested in the custom Death Ghidorah, Irys, or having your figures customized, I asked my online friend and got the e-mail information for you. He actually owns a Godzilla shop and he does ship out to the US. My other online Taiwanese friend is a huge Mothra fan and created all sorts of custom Mothra & Battra figures. Check it out following link for the info, more pics, & links to pics of the store (looks like a collection to me but they say it's a store). I'd love to get that Burning Godzilla custom on the 1994 DX Super Premium Godzilla figure some day.....

Also, does anyone know if Marmit has any plans for the Iron Joe line? I am very impressed with the three I got and I hope to see a Titanosaurus, King Ghidorah '65, or just about any Kaiju! (Still need to find Anguirus)

No idea about the Iron Joe line, gforever. At least not as far as any Godzilla-related releases are concerned. They're re-releasing the Yog stuff (or are those already out) but just in kit form.

I just wish they'd re-release the Mogera.

Doing a little bit of browsing on Marmit's site gives you a good overview of the kits that have been released, or re-released as is often the case.

It only goes back to the early/middle part of 2006 and it looks like the only Toho kit I can't find pictures of is what I think is the very first one, the 1964 Godzilla. Most of the Iron Joe kits have been re-released at least once and I'm almost positive the 1962 and 1973 Godzilla kits were also very early (2004/05) releases because of how crude they both are:

ImageImage

Arranging the Marmit Toho kits by order deadline shows that as of right now almost everything has been released twice so far. Keep in mind not all of these releases were put out as built-ups.

Hedora - 10/15/06
Gezora - 11/15/06
Ganime - 11/15/06
Kameba - 11/15/06
Mogera - 12/15/06
Gorosaurus - 1/15/07
Megalon - 2/15/07
Gigan - 2/15/07 (though this one ended up being delayed almost a year)
Angilas - 3/15/07
Godzilla 1962 - 3/15/07
Godzilla 1973 - 3/15/07
Megalon - 11/30/07
Angilas - 12/31/07
Heodra - 1/31/08
Gorosaurus - 2/29/08
Gezora - 3/31/08
Kameba - 5/31/08
Ganime - 7/31/08

Assuming I haven't lost anyone by now it's obvious the Gigan (I'm pretty sure 2007 was it's first release) will probably be offered again. The kit I'm most curious about is the Mogera:

Beautiful isn't it? I'm not sure how many times it's been released but I hope I can get another shot at it in built-up form. Looks like one of those be-all, end-all pieces.

Short question. Is Marmits "Iron Joe/Shop" "still alive"?The last one where only available as a kit.
Thanks "Legion" for the overview
And another "short question" could this be add to the "Kit Line"?

Those were released as part of the regular line if my memory serves me correctly. The Minya looks terrible IMO, but the 67 Goji looks pretty sweet. I remember wanting this one but passing on it.

I have no idea.

No problem.

No. Those were vinyl toys that were released in 2005. The sculpts created for the toy line and kit line are completely different. Mekagojira3K, the Minya wouldnt look bad if the pupils weren't painted looking up like that. A later metallic re-release had the eyes painted differently and looked a lot better for it.

To Legion-
I remember the shiny release, but I never gave it a real look till you mentioned its eyes were better. So I browsed through marmit's site and
it does look much better. It's amazing what a paint job that doesn't make it look as thought Minya's eyes are rolling back into his head can do.

Where are you getting that price from? Most of these cost around $80-$100+. And the kits are around 8-10". The Gorosaurus is a little smaller though.

Sorry, I was on a different computer, and it only showed the '62 and '73. I saw those for $55 at a couple of dealers at G-FEST this year. But the others I haven't seen anywhere. Sorry

You could find most of the Marmit Kits, with the "brown Box", between 40-60$(Hedorah maybe a "little" more) but unbuild etc.
