USPS tracking has my Funimation copy set to arrive on the 3rd, but typically things I order from Right Stuf arrive sooner than the estimated date. Currently the disc is sitting in a sorting facility only a half hour from me, so I'm guessing it'll arrive either tomorrow or the day after.

i got mine from an Amazon pre-order. They are usually like clockwork on release dates

Well, I'm not really sure either then. For the moment I work at an Amazon facility, and I haven't seen any copies in stock yet. Still the place is huge and carries millions of items, so maybe I just haven't seen them yet.

I apologize if this has already been answered, but does the US DVD release have both Japanese audio/English subs AND English dub, or JUST English dubs?

Got mine, too! Was concerned the sticker on the slipcover would mar the box - but it peeled right off no problem!

Gotta say: the embossed slipcover and the black Blu-Ray box within are rather striking!

Has anybody ever given a reason why they decided to mix the movie with only the center channel and front mains only? Kind of a head scratcher if you ask me. Did it save them money? I mean, 5.1 mixes have been given to movies that never had it since the inception of DVD's. For gods sake I watched The Good, The Bad and the Ugly in 5.1 just a few weeks ago.

The video quality is great on the movie though. I'd be curious to see what the 4K print looks like but I am not spending $90 dollars on this movie. I enjoy the movie to a point but not enough to warrant that kind of dough. The Gamera 4K Remastered box set is the only thing I have gone over the top for.

Picked up the last copy on the shelf tonight at Best Buy. Agree it has a nice slipcover. Can't wait to give it a watch.

Picked up Colossal while I was at it, which btw has an even better slipcover.

Yeah, no. This is 2017 and a 3.1 track is completely unacceptable. There is a reason old movies are getting 5 channel audio upgrades.

It arrived from Amazon last night and I threw it on only half watching it since I've already seen it about a dozen times. I just wanted to check out the dub. The dub actually impressed me. It's a lot better than the Hong Kong dubs we got for the Millennium films. I'm satisfied, The print is also beautiful and since I don't have a surround sound system, the 3.1 audio doesn't bother me. I just wish we had more extras. Overall a 4.5/5
