For those looking for the monsters HD version of G85, I just wanted to point out that what's available is a standard-definition single-layer DVD5 formatted file that was made by someone who captured the broadcast. Now, obviously, it was originally aired in HD (1080i to be specific), but to my knowledge there is no HD formatted file out there in torrent land.

I have an HD copy I "acquired"I haven't watched the entire download but it is a 1000 times better than my VHS rip.

It look like much like some of the AIP dubs (EHOTD, SOG), the American version of this is going to forever be consigned to the VHS dustbin never going to hit home video

Digital backups my friend. Sure we may never get a legit release. But the fan community is not going to let any non-toho dub, or alternate title sequence for any film fade out of existence.
There are no more good TV Shows, only ones that haven't disappointed me yet.

I'm really excited. I've been meaning to see the original, non-'85 version for years but never got around to it. This is gonna be almost like a new movie for me.

Best Buy is cheaper for the BD they currently have it listed for $9.99. Amazon will probably follow suit soon.
On a side note it's very hard to find the film on Amazon I tried searching for it earlier today and couldn't find it.

^They don't really care about the issue. They have one English language version of the film they own outright, so it's not a priority for them.
