Is there a new Daimajin movie I'm not aware of?

It was a TV show that came out a few years ago.

I've never seen any of the Yokai Monsters movies. I'd like to. So, even though I don't have much interest in Daimajin Kanon (I heard pretty bad things, IIRC), I agree.

The Yokai trilogy is similar in tone the Daimajin films, just with a lot of human sized monsters instead of one giant god. Quality films with some humor. I've heard mixed reviews about Daimajin Kanon. I want the Toho Dracula trilogy to be released. They're my holy grail at the moment.

i'd go a little further and say that the Yokai films are really weird films.

I'd love for them to do the Yokai films. I really dig those movies, especially the middle one (Yokai Daisenso), which is one of my all-time favorite Japanese monster movies.

I need to ask. Did Mill Creek for Revenge of Iris for this box set? The subtitles are god damned terrible on the one I have. There are lines incorrectly translated and then there are areas where there are no subs at all, especially whenever Shinya is talking.

Yeah. I'd contact Mill Creek. They're the bomb dot com with customer service, and they'll probably offer to replace the disc.

BTW, a fella on the Blu-Ray.com message board claims that the trilogy is going out of print soon. Don't know if it's true or not, but it's been out for five years, so it sounds plausible. Considering these are some of my favorite movies and most rewatched discs I might buy an extra copy of the trilogy just in case.

It was the replacement disc I got though because it has the huge subtitles for the making of bonus feature.

It sounds like you've got one of the initial replacement discs that was still faulty. The later replacement discs are 100% corrected. Mill Creek will probably still replace it for you now.

I'm still impressed that MillCreek did not just one but two rounds of disc replacements to fix problems, you can't even count on the major labels to do one round of replacements to fix a significant error.

Honestly, unless Mill Creek is just going to send me the disc without me having to ship anything to them, it is going to be easier for me to just buy the trilogy set Target has on their $5 BD shelf.

So it seems like Target just suddenly stopped carrying the Gamera Trilogy. Every one of my store no longer has any copies even though a month ago they each had several.

Might be going out of print after all.

... I'd love for Arrow to pick up the movies for special edition releases (ala the nifty new versions recently released in Japan via that Heisei Gamera set).

Going OOP doesn't explain why 30ish copies have just upped and vanished.
