The next person who whines about how Sony doesn't care is gonna get a punch in the nose. The US and Japanese releases of G2K AND all three Mothra films...

Haven't tracked recent blu ray releases....how was the quality of the last batch? Sound? image quality?...
Is it safe to expect bad subtitles in GMK?

The blu rays of the millennium films were a marginal at best improvement over the DVDs, I thought they Heisei films were solid though. I'm planning on picking these up to round out the collection though.

I'll get the G2K and Mothra discs.

I'll only get the GMK/GAMG if GMK has improved subs. Which based on what they did last time (movies that previously had dubtitles kept their dubtitles), I'm not really counting on.

Fantastic! That Godzilla 2000 release is exactly what I was hoping for. I know it's a longshot since the subtitles for GvsMG2, Megaguirus, and Tokyo SOS weren't any different between the DVDs and the blurays but it would be great if GMK could get an accurate subtitle track. Didn't Norman England provide a proper subtitle translation for Sony to use on their theatrical GMK print? Does Sony know this?

Yes! I'd love to compare the two dubs.

Kpa, is there any way you can work your magic and suggest to Sony to please use the correct subtitle track for GMK? I can hope, can't I? :D

Holy crap! Both versions of G2K AND the Mothra Trilogy?!? I would have bet against both. Kudos to Sony.

I'm trying! I've talked to both Toho and Sony about using the correct subtitles for GMK, including the international dub for G2000, etc., but have no idea what their plans are at this point.

So glad they are finishing off the Millennium series. The Japanese version of G2K is a fantastic surprise and the Mothra Trilogy is totally out of left field, I love it!

Now I hope we start getting more announcements about Blus of the rest of the Showa series from whom ever has the rights to them.

And can a little boy dream that maybe... just maybe... some one will say something about the rights to Godzilla '84? Yeah, yeah snowball's chance in hell and all that. But I got to keep the dream alive at least.

WOOT WOOOOOOOT!

Glad the Mothra trilogy is on one disc. Havent watched them since those bootlegs well over 15 years ago and beyond a statute of limitations.

G2K is the best news, both versions. Now if only that GMK GxMG disc has actual new subs and not the dubtitles from before we're set.

^Heh XvGojira I was about to say the same thing about G84, crosses fingers..maybe for christmas if we're good?

Hope there's a contest for at least one of these. September 9th is just in time to herald all predicted dates for the earliest possible Bluray release of G14.

THIS IS AMAZING!!!!!!!

YESYESYESYESYES!!!!

Uh... is G2K going to be a two disc set? Because I don't have enough disc trays in the Millennium case I just made for more than one disc.

Anyway, I pray to the gods GMK has real subtitles this time.

Nevertheless, Sept 9th cannot come soon enough.

They're post Zero Fighter/Biollante Koichi Kawakita fare. Lotsa lazers, lots of sparks, and "OH GODZILLA! WHAT TERRIBLE LANGUAGE!" composite shots.

It gets a whole lot of hate.

As for me though, I really really like Mothra's different modes and I love the kaiju designs used in the movies! I would really like Monsterarts from the trilogy.

Where's the best place to buy blank BD cases? I'm going to either give Destoroyah it's own case and do a double pack with G2K and Megaguirus or give Megaguirus and Destoroyah they're own BD cases.

Also what's the best type of paper to use to print custom BD art out?

While I was looking for the biggest multi disc case I found this site.

http://www.casetopia.com/category_s/1477.htm

They have 10-disc blu-ray cases, which I'm thinking of getting for my collection. Although it didn't seem so long ago that the biggest case I could find only held 6-disc, so I may just stay patient to see if they come out with some bigger case so I just have the entire showa series (sans the first movie) in one case.

And there's http://www.sleevecityusa.com/blu-ray-hd ... s/1855.htm
