Yep, it has been for years now. The first season of the Hanna-Barbara series used to be on there too but it's gone now.

I only just noticed. >_>

Man, oh man! I loved the '98 toon show and have been waiting for a full release. And the price is just astounding if it's the whole series.

I'm not sure if we had put to bed any confusion about whether this would be the 98 series or the HB series...

but this will do so (also, it's the cover art, so it's news)

It must be a little surreal and awesome to finally see the show you worked on all those years ago get a complete series DVD release, Keith. :D

It is! I have all the shows on tape, but to have them all together and on DVD will be a treat.

The guys at Mill creek let me know a while back that they'd picked up the series from Sony, not knowing that I had worked on it. And I was able to help out a bit with this set -- for example, the front and back cover packaging for the DVD uses production art that I gave them -- so it was nice to come back to the series and be involved, even in a small way.

Nice. :D I did notice the fact that two unaired episodes will be included, yet the Wikipedia entry about the show states there's three unaired episodes. Is there some kind of mistake on the Wikipedia entry or Mill Creek's part, or will there be one unaired episode not included in this set? If that's the case, do you know which of the unaired episodes will be included?

AND have these episodes been seen at all outside of this set? I noticed the unaired episodes tag as well. Know nothing about them.

Two episodes, 126: The Ballad of Gens Du Marais and 139: Tourist Trap, did not air during the FOX TV run. Wikipedia and some other sources state that a third episode (129: Vision) also never aired, but they're mistaken.

The two episodes were never shown on American television or released on video here. But they have been available on streaming services; either Netflix or Amazon (or both) carried all of the episodes of G:TS. The series was also shown overseas (including Japan) and, as far as I know, all of the episodes were aired in those countries.

Didn't some of the unaired episodes get shown at a G-fest years back?

There were a G:TS panels at the 1999 and 2000 G-Fests in California, and Episode 35: S.C.A.L.E. was premiered at the 99 fest before it aired on television.

In 2001 or 2002 I got Sony's permission to screen the two unaired episodes at the Asian Fantasy Film Expo in New Jersey. That was the first time those episodes were shown publicly.

Why the heck can't we get the complete Hanna-Barbera series?

Damn right, it does. This series blows it away.

However, if some budget company put out the HB series in one affordable (ie $10 or under) set, I'd probably buy it anyway because I'm stupid.

I love the Hanna-Barbera show, I wouldn't be as into Godzilla if it weren't for it. I wish Media Blasters had put out the 2nd season. That said, a complete bargain set like GTS is receiving would be ideal for the old show.

Speaking of the HB show, I recently noticed that Volume 3 of the HB set seems to be OOP, but Volumes 1 and 2 are still readily available. I emailed Classic Media this Monday about it, but haven't heard back from them yet. Since Gareth Edwards has mentioned the HB show several times, I thought I'd pick up these releases and watch them, to see if there were any silly Easter Eggs in the upcoming movie, so I was sort of bummed to see that Volume 3 is apparently unavailable.

I believe CM has the rights to the entire Godzilla HB series but opted not to release anything beyond the first season due to poor sales.

I wouldn't be surprised if the poor sales were due to interested buyers waiting for complete season sets or a complete series set. I think CM only put 4 or 5 episodes on a disc right?

Yeah. I held off on getting it for a while....finally did not too too long ago, when it basically was finally OBVIOUS there wouldn't be any more.

I like H-B's show more, since at least it LOOKS like Godzilla, but neither are great. I mean, this new one is remake of HB's anyway. Nick- Carl, Elsie- Dr. Quinn, Randy- an even more annoying Pete, N.I.G.E.L.- Godzooky and Craven - Brock. Oh yeah, and Gino- Godzilla. :D
