Barnes and Noble is having their Criterion 50% off sale this month - and it's expanded to other 'Art House Films' (rather nebulous term) as well.

has Criterion's Godzilla on sale right now at 57% off MSRP. The DVD is $12.99 and the blu-ray is $16.99.
This release is excellent, one of the best home video presentations of any Godzilla film in North America. If you don't have it yet, get on it!

I was at B&N last night and saw that they're having a 40% off all Blu-Ray sale, including the Criterions. Not quite their 50% off sale, but close.

So yeah, B&N has 50% off Criterion movies for July. That makes their price the same as Amazon.

Amazon isn't normally 50% MSRP on Criterions, generally Amazon is no lower than 55% to 60% depending on the title. For example, the typical Amazon price for Criterion's release of Gojira/Godzilla:KOTM is about $25, half of MSRP would be $20.
Right now, Amazon is likely lowering (or has lowered) the prices of their Criterion offerings to be in line with Barnes & Noble's sale.

If you like Cronenberg, then Videodrome should be the first one you watch. Its such a weird (like everything else he does) movie. I want to see the killing.

I was really hoping to go back and pick up Sweet Smell of Success and Kiss Me Deadly, but I just cannot afford to do so. Oh well, at least they are only $5 more on Amazon at all times than the B&N sale price.
