When deciding which edition of The Night of the Hunter to buy, the UK release is a fraction of the price of the Criterion and has the exact same transfer. Unfortunately, while the Criterion has effectively creepy cover, the UK release is saddled with awkward drawing.

^Does the UK release have hours of footage of Charles Laughton on the set directing the film? I've been told the Criterion one has that.

Colossal is definitely the latest member of the "please just use the poster art instead" club. The is the worst offender, with its muddy colour scheme and cluttered layout. The recently revealed is at least more eye-catching, but looks like an 80s rom-com! Only is lucky enough to get the best possible cover, but that's dampened a bit by the usual over-bearing age rating box.

Slip case offers some redemption (better than the PR lenticular at least) - i usually toss the slip covers, but I'll keep this one
