Picked up the new Sony Godzilla releases myself and I agree with what has been said about the subtitles on GMK. Definitely a bit of a mixed bag as far as translation goes, but the most distracting thing I ran across were scenes where characters were talking while a news broadcast(or other character)were talking at the same time. Both conversations are subtitled, but the subs themselves look very similar to one another making it difficult at times to tell who's saying what, which made things a bit confusing on occasion. Would have been nice if they could have had the secondary dialogues subs be in yellow or some other color. Also, I have to add that I found GMK and Godzilla 2000 to have an over-abundance of contrast, making night scenes a little difficult to make out due to the darkness. Fortunately I have a setting on my projector pre-saved for just such a problem. GXMG, on the other hand, looked great with a normal setting. I also found the image on GMK to be a little soft. Not terribly so, just not what I expected from a blu-ray. The good news is that the audio on all is excellent! I've always been a fan of DTS for the enhanced volume through the rear speakers, and these discs definitely did not disappoint. Really nice surround effects, and the whole system had the living room quaking(boy, my neighbors love me
). Overall, all 3 discs are an improvement over the previous DVD releases, but they could have been better, imo.
