Just got back. And yes, I did see the Godzilla statue near Hibiya park. I put my album online here, complete with maps:

No, didn't get out to the studios, but we did see some Godzilla sights:
Toho's Nichigeki Theater (now in the glass Yurakucho Mullion)
Wako Dept Store
National Diet Building
Kachidoki Bridge
Yurakucho Mullion
Fuji TV
And from my favorite movie, the Tokyo Big Sight
Tokyo Metropolitan Govt Tower
Uh-oh
Godzilla didn't visit here, but it's still an important kaiju landmark
(That wasn't Tokyo Tower toppled in Gojira'54. The tower was built in 1958)

Here's a shot of the Godzilla statue I took a couple of weeks ago:
The Daily Yomiuri took a photo of me with the statue following my interview with them. The article is to be posted December 24. It is a similar angle as this one, only I am at the bottom left.
I saw Space Battleship Yamato at Toho's Nichigeki Theater.
