"Yuru-kyara" Character Craze In Japan

Plush characters seem to be invading Japan. They're called "yuru-kyara" characters. They're used for promotions in Japan.

And here's our hometown (Tochigi-ken, Sano-shi) mascot: Sanomaru!



I believe he placed fourth in this year's competition of most popular mascots.

EDIT: Just checked. He did!
