Let me see, the ones I remember are:
Nahuales: the Nahuals, as it says the prehispanic tradition and the primitive indigenous religions of Mexico, Were witches/sorcerers that have the power to transform into Animals vested with incredible magic powers and related with the escential powers of the cosmos (they also could be some sort of unmaterial figure asigned to a person) suposedly, they knew great secrets such how to make rain, tio silent the wind, to stop hailstorms and to impede the frost. the could be either good or evil, they lived on temples, were they gained their powers, (they deprived themselves and not having sex for some time), when they wanted to do something bad to someone, they ttransformerd into savage beast, but they atacked directly to the person soul , they could made them get sick or even kill them. If they were captured before sunrise, they die, but tis was rare, since they have the power to made people asleep.
the evil nahuales attack by night and sucked the children soul dry.
Chaneques: spirits form the earth, the Chaneques are Goblins that live on the woods and love to make pranks to the people. they have big "sombreros" and either have big noses or ears that grow to the front, some say their feet are backwars, the live in caves and spring waters. when a person goes to a spring, the Chaneque attacks and stole the person soul, only a "curandero" can cure him.
"La LLorona": or the Crying Woman, a spirit that haunts the streets of the cities in search for her children. there are some many stories of who this woman was.
therare also more Gods that Quetzalcoatls, I'd come back later, I have work to do, Hope this help you.
