NEW GUNDAM SERIES: Gundam Reconguista In G

Set in the far future of the Universal Century.

Art directors and character designers from E7 are working on it. I'm curious as to how it'll be. The Gundam itself looks like it'll make a nice kit.

Considering the craphole the Zanscare Empire left behind, and everything else after G-Savior I am surprised the post Universal Century is so bright...

Wow I'm actually excited for this. looks good. Also I'm guessing G-Saviour has probably been retconned out of the UC timeline? If not, no big deal, but since there was like a 70 year gap (IIRC?) between Victory & Saviour, and nothing has come after it since, I guess they never really had a chance to go back and referrence it.

So this started airing, anyone else seen the first two episodes? Thus far this sums up my thoughts:


Pros:
-Vulcan guns actually do significant damage to a standard MS (what happened in X does not count, the armor was too light)
-Great looking scenery and setting
-Actually trying to connect it with the UC timeline
-It had action

Cons:
-Very mediocre music
-Boring cast is boring
-Thunder does not sound like that
-Contrary to is what is said here I do not think the animation is that good (it is decent though)
-They are playing Raraiya's foreshadow bits with G-Self too much
-Why do these buildings have ugly interiors?
-Why is medieval technology (IE drawbridges) used?
-Is it the rest of the world versus space pirates? Some information about the socio-political climate would be nice (every other Gundam series did it so why can't this?)
-Bad pacing (Brain Powerd, Turn A, King Gainer, and even L.Gaim and ZZ had it so I am not surprised)


It sounds like I am harping on it, but I am not, it is just first impressions.
