Demarco is now asking fans on what Toonami should be moving forward. Here's the full quote from his Twtter:

"#toonami fans- what ya'll think about us maybe bringing this back?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lotTngXQwDQ

Here's the deal. Write me @ 1065 Williams Street, Atlanta, GA 30309 OR send us a message at Toonami.tumblr.com and let us know what you think. We weren't allowed to accept mail for a long while but we are now, so why not? Help us manipulate the manual. I guess the question now isn't "Is Toonami a failed experiment" but instead "What should Toonami be moving forward.""

Here are the links from his twitter so you'll know I'm not crazy:

Not sure how the heck that won't be butchered like crazy when they air it?
I mean it has these things in it:

Decapitated body parts
F-bombs galore
Nazis
A guy pleasuring himself with a head IIRC
a TON of blood
Very "KKK" like Vatican forces

And that's just about the first 6 episodes...

Last night's Space Dandy was one of the best episodes of the series so far.

If I remember correctly, this is about the time I thought the Fullbring arc began to become very interesting. Things that were seeded earlier in the arc are finally coming to fruition and we still have some more surprises ahead.

I missed seeing Gurren Lagann back when it ran on Sci-Fi's last attempt at an anime block. Glad that Toonami picked it up, and certainly nice to see another super robot/mecha series running on Toonami.

It would be nice to see Toonami pick up some other mecha series eventually, maybe even some older anime series. I'd still like to see Sgt. Frog turn up on Toonami, if it proves popular enough perhaps Funimation will continue with the dubbing. I'd watch Sgt. Frog subbed, but I know that networks vastly prefer to run a dubbed series.

^ that was such BS, and proof that Tite Kubo can't write. Yargh. One Piece has LONG ongoing stories and it never feels like a drag to watch. Oda's just a much better writer.

Surprisingly, the Fullbring arc is self-contained; it's basically like an average anime filler arc except it's coming from the manga. On the whole I found the Fullbring arc somewhat dull until the final chapters.

According to another site I use, the 2nd episode of Hellsing Ultimate broke some sort of "bleep" record.
Mostly cause of the Jan character.

If I had watched it, I probably would have been rolling on the floor laughing at how many bleeps he had.

Of course since I own most of it already (will be getting volume 3 as soon as it hits shelves), there's no point ti watch the bleeped version.

BTW this week they won't be showing that show, cause they are doing a Beware the Batman marathon to finish that up.
So in two weeks everything moves up a bit in the schedule, and Space Dandy will be reruns after Hellsing.

Also gone is Star Wars The Clone Wars.

Tumblr Q&A 9-28-2014 Summary

Dragon Ball Z Kai begins November 8th at midnight, replacing Bleach

They have the rights to Dandy "for a long time", it will start over at episode 1

The rights to Big O season 1 are "unavailable"

Attack on Titan will rerun; what time it will do so has not been announced

"In the upcoming months" we can expect another movie month (in December), as well as new shows in addition to DBZ

No word on Hellsing and AoT replacements; I notice they said "no" to whether they'd say what AoT's replacement is, not that they were just going to rerun it

As far as Halloween celebrations go, "Toonami doesn't usually celebrate the seasons like that..." (this seems a bit suspicious)

Bleach will probably not rerun

They plan to switch to HD for Bebop "soon" when they get the files/tapes/whatever; no specific date

Still working on Clydes, "tough" with their current budget

Most requested shows: Sailor Moon (no specific version mentioned), Kill la Kill, Sword Art Online II (gag)

Game ratings are a group thing

The block is planned about 6-8 months in advance

The vast majority of the audience is male

Said "watch and find out" to there being another Viz show after Bleach

Sounds like they'll air the last Bleach episode in its entirety (or at least the ending of it)

[Shows getting snatched up by competitors] happens all the time. Is starting to happen now, with places like Netflix. Just the TV biz!

I wonder if the replacement for Bleach could be Toriko (also in Funimation's catalog)?

I'd love to see Sgt. Frog on Toonami, hopefully it would do well enough to spur Funimation into continuing their dub efforts.

It's a shame that Big O season 1 is 'unavailable', it's my favorite season of the show and I think it's stronger than the second season.

It'd be nice to see some more Super Robot shows on Toonami, and more older anime series in general. With Discotek Media releasing Mazinger Z to home video this year it's a shame that there isn't a full English dub for it.

I don't mind them repeating movies they already have access to, they've only shown the movies once or twice a year anyways I'm sure there are plenty of people that missed seeing them the first time around.

Jason DeMarco had a little q and a on Reddit and here is the run down.
- Bleach will re-run.

- FLCL will not.

- Whatever airs at 2:30 will not be a premiere, the schedule will be released soon.

- The month of movies will not feature any of Miyazaki's work. Plans are pretty far along. The release of the schedule is tentatively scheduled for 'soon-ish'.

- Intruder 2 will be a multi-week event. No trailer's or teasers 'till next year.

- The comic is still in production, and will be held until Intruder 2.

- Nothing new with the Clydes for the rest of the year. Maybe next year.

- They'd like to air more short-run shows a la Hellsing, but not to the extent of such shows taking up most of the block. They'd also like more dark shows like BL & HU. (2)

- The network is happy with Toonami's ratings.

- Why AOT is re-rerunning at 11:30.

- Re-running newer shows is necessary at this time.

- They hope to bring Hellsing 9 & 10 to Toonami ASAP.

- They're not messing with DBZ Kai's soundtrack.

- No new developments on the Space Dandy front. That said, they would be interested in sponsoring a Space Dandy movie.

- The biggest "Rewrite The Rulebook" response was 'more adult (dark) content'.

- The Turner vs. Dish struggle will not negatively impact Toonami.

- Big O is likely to repeat after finishing its current run.

- Shows from 2004-2007 aren't too old for the block.

- They're open to Sentai shows. They'd like to work with companies other than just Funimation, Aniplex, and Viz.

- Gurren Lagann wasn't picked up to compensate for the lack of Kill La Kill.

- The Toonami budget resets in January.

- Regarding acquisitions, requests to air shows on the block come from both Toonami, and from distribu...

- The odds of another world premiere are small.

- Stretching shows isn't really in their control. Kai is a special case.

- They're working on getting Bebop in HD.

- Toonami has little access to Western animation.

- Merch is a good idea.

- Regarding Toonami's return & how Space Dandy came into being.

- There are no plans to create a new Toonami original series at present, a la IGPX.

- He likes Psycho-Pass.

- A return of Toonami Jetstream is unlikely.

- His favorite animated series are Batman: TAS, FLCL, and Future Boy Conan.

- He sold his soul for rock & roll.

- No king-of-card-games on Toonami.

In life, we all must deal with change, friends. And sometimes that change is hard. Starting February 7th, the Toonami schedule will be reduced to a Midnight-3:30am run every Saturday.

But TOONAMI IS NOT GOING ANYWHERE.

And the good news is, we still have three and a half hours of premieres for you, every week, with more new stuff to come!

2015’s gonna have Kill La Kill, plus several MORE new shows, as well as Intruder 2, the Toonami comic, and lots of other fun goodies!

For fans of GITS, IGPX, Bebop, AoT, etc, we’re sorry but due to slipping ratings in those later hours, Adult Swim programming has determined a change is necessary. These shows may be back at some point- or they may not. Nothing is definitive on that front.

We may be getting smaller, but hopefully we’re getting stronger.
