I JUST WATCHED EVANGELION 3.33 AND NOW I CAN NO LONGER FEEL FEELINGS ANYMORE.

Okay, thinking about it some more, I will say I heartily applaud that it took such a ridiculously bold step in a crazy new direction and I was completely on board for the first two-thirds of the film but then the climax felt more or less totally wasted. Despite all the new elements that were introduced, by the end of the film it felt like the plot hadn't moved forward at all. Sigh.

But the fourth film could still save the series and alter how this third film is viewed. My God, I hope it does. I really want to like 3.33 but it really seems to miss its mark.

I'm kind of enjoying the suspense. It's really informing how I want to create my own multi-part films in the future. The people who are crazy are the people who AREN'T waiting for the final movie before they write the series off. The people who bailed after 2.22.

Glad I'm not the only one confused at 3.33 , but then again, That's par for the NGE course. I swear the series, and even this "Rebuild" is not meant to make sense. I've read long blogs and wiki entries filled with fanon and assumptions that try to explain everything , but it just dosen't make sense. I really think that is the heart and the M.O. of everything NGE- to NOT make sense.

I haven't seen Rebuild, but I guess I'm the only person who thinks NGE the series makes sense then? Cuz I never really had any trouble following it.

ok then -basic question- and I dont want a link to a website (I've read several and dont subscribe to that info for the answers)- in the original 26 episode series (standard episodes, not directiors cuts, or manga) What are the Angels & where do they come from?
In which episode is this answer exactly given?

The answer is given in End of Eva, since the show was forced to end the way it did against the creator's wishes. The last two episodes are still relevant, but are only one aspect of what transpired in the real ending of the movie.

So the answer is no, the angels are never fully explained in the original 26 episodes.
