What are you watching/or completed? (Anime)

Currently watching 3 shows all on DVD.

Madlax: one of the "girls with guns" trilogy (Noir & El Cazador de laBruja are the other 2). This one has a mix of political stuff, paranormal stuff, and loads of action.

Shadow Skill TV: A martial arts show, that is kinda similar in the time period (and a bit of the look) to Fist of the North Star. Though this one does have a bit of comedy involved as well.

Seven of Seven: Cute show about a middle school girl who gets split into 7 different personalities of herself (thus there are now 7 of her running around). Though as per usual with anime, the girl is rather well perportioned for a middle school girl.

Recent completions include:

Bleach Movie: Fade to Black
Comic Party Revolution
Code Geass R2
Toho's Godzilla Will Live Forever!

I don't watch a lot of anime, and in fact was previously adamant against watching any, until I was dragged into the world of FLCL, where I fell in love.

So far, I have seen:

FLCL
Eureka 7
Neon Genesis Evangelion
Working!!

I also just saw the Evangelion 1.11 movie last week, with the second (and End of Evangelion) soon to follow. And right now I am borrowing, from a friend, Paranoia Agent (which I've seen the first episode of) and the Eureka Seven movie.

I forgot to mention Persona 4 to the list of series I am watching this season.

Anyone watching anything new this year?

I'm watching the 2nd season of Working!!!, which is nowhere near as hilarious as I found it last time around. Though, I'm only 2 episodes in. I'm planning on re-watching Evangelion in a few days, too.

Oh yeah, I've been meaning to see that. I loved the first season. Sad to hear it's not as good (I heard they have new writers). Still, I'll have to check it out.

Watched the first disc of Zaion & Gunbuster via Netflix rental.
Using that service to try to find new stuff to buy.

Black Butler is on the list, whenever the 2nd season gets over to the USA.

Up to disc 4 of Seven of Seven, up to disc 5 of Shadow Skill TV, and disc 4 of Madlax.

Still need to start Nanaka 6/17 & Sister Princess.

All of them were my purchases for Christmas.

BTW there might be something new on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim lineup soon, but not sure what, since Drrr!! is over now.

I had to stop watching Tetsujin 28. I really don't remember that much anti-american crap in it, but damn the series is full of it, and blames the start of WW 2 more or less on the Americans.

If there's one trend that I absolutely loathe in modern Japanese story telling, it's the percieved unwillingness for some people in Japan to see what part Japan played in the start of WW 2. It's kind of scary how they are glossing over history these days.

I've been continuing Working Season 2 and re-watching Evangelion. I've also been sampling a couple of stuff on netflix. I've revisited Trigun, and I'm enjoying that as much as I did the first time I watched it. Also watched the first episode of Soul Eater again, I've been keeping up with the manga which I adore. East of Eden, had a strange beginning, but it was enjoyable and has good animation, so I'll probably finish it.

Finished Madlax pretty interesting way to end the show.
Did not really see the big twist coming, which is a good thing.

Forgot to mention that I also bought Princess Tutu for myself for Christmas.
I did watch all of that as well, even if you don't like ballet you need to watch this cause it's really good.

I guess Working!! was just working itself up again, I've loved the last few episodes, but episode 8 of season two is especially great/fun.

Baccano!
It's on Netflix stream. Pretty interesting and different. Immortal 18th Century alchemists running around as gangsters in 1930s NYC.

I've been wanting to watch it, because I read somewhere its connected to Durarara, which I loved.

I'm re-watching RahXephon. During the first volume I was like "Wait, why did I enjoy it so much..." then I got to volume 2 and I was all "OH YEAH. This is Brave Raideen with Evangelion in it."

The comparisons don't really ruin it, but it's getting aggravating to see that RahXephon kind of just took all the eva characters, and either split them up into different characters, or rearranged some roles. Its a well done show regardless.

The Anime Network has a couple new shows I've started watching through via Time Warner Cable.

-Mythical Detective Loki Ragnarok -- they're just a few episodes into the series so far but it seems like a promising show.

-Princess Resurrection -- another show that's just a couple three episodes in. Interesting concept, looks like it will be an entertaining series as well.

I've been re-watching Tytania and X'amd though the Anime Network is sticking with a single episode a week rather than going with two episodes a week like they've done with some other repeating series.

I just watched Otaku no Video for the first time.
Fairly lulzy, but nothing amazing.

Nice choice! Quite a good show, if you don't have it yet get it ASAP.
Since it's a SAVE edition now, it's pretty darn cheap.

Mushi-Shincan be watched at leisure since it's very epiosodic.

Anyhow finished Gunbuster, pretty interesting if short show.

Also finished Seven of Seven which was a fun show.

Will be starting on Nanaka 6/17 or Sister Princess soon.
