I can't for the life of me remember what actually happened there.

This was just where Himeya, Negoro and Sakuta would often meet. It was featured in a whole bunch of episodes. I don't think there were any major events that happened here.

It was first featured in episode 5, when Negoro is introduced, and he starts bugging Himeya about what government secrets he knows. There's a flashback in one episode (maybe episode 6?) where Himeya is vomiting into the river and Sakuta is comforting him, during his whole ordeal with the girl Cera who got killed. There's another flashback to this place where Himeya tells Sakuta about his plan to go to the warzone as a photographer and she asks him not to get himself killed (I think episode 21). In episode 22, after coming back from the dead (killed by TLT's experiments), Himeya gets transported here and Sakuta (who was waiting there for Negoro) finds him. After Sakuta and Negoro get mind-wiped in episode 25 they both meet here for the last time and look at Himeya's photos wondering what became of him. Probably a bunch of other scenes I'm forgetting.

Anyway, it's a cool little spot that is always empty. It's nice just to chill out here.

I'd like to go back to the Miyagase Dam one day, but it's just a pain in the ass getting there.

I received the series on DVD recently and am currently on episode 21. I'm really digging the change from a monster of the week show to an actual stretched out storyline, plus the dark tone is always a plus. Plus the monsters and the evil Ultras look awesome!

I have been rushing through all the series for the past year in preparation of the new movie, I think I've been doing pretty good so far, if only more series were available subtitled or dubbed (I'd even take those awful Malaysian dubs done for ace, taro, and some of jack and 80.

I don't imagine there are any subtitled or dubbed versions of Leo, 80 (past the 10 episodes dubbed), Jack (past the 4 dubbed episodes), Dyna or Gaia out there?

I've re-watched this show recently, and honestly, I'm just not feeling it like I used too. Himeya's last story arc still works pretty well, but the show feels way more melodramatic than it used too. Compared to say, something like Kamen Rider Hibiki, the show fails to gradually build its characters, and somewhat lacks the emotional heart of HIBIKI.

The ending is just so bad too. I realize the show was unfairly cut by ten or so episodes, but the the final episode is way too rushed. Don't get me wrong the last episode is fun, and kind of works thematically, but it makes no real sense. Zagi's reveal is somewhat abrupt and comes out of nowhere, the return of old, DEAD characters is never explained, and the whole episode just feels too small scale for the size of the situation. Hibiki, on the other hand, ends the show so gracefully. Perhaps my favorite ending to a tokusatsu show, since Ultraseven!
