I imagine if the original Ultraman, in all his glory, were to show up in the finale of the new Steven Spielberg special effects blockbuster... well, wouldn't Chaiyo have something to say about that? If not, wouldn't we have heard that the dreaded Chaiyo had been vanquished? I see that Ultra Q, Ultraman, and Ultraseven (all licensed from Chaiyo) have disappeared from ShoutFactory.TV
Could be nothing, could be something.

Well I finally found TOKU on my Comcast. And all it has is Ginga S and an anime show listed for rental. So apparently I'm not getting the broadcast/streaming/however it's supposed to work. Very bummed at this time.

I hope the seven people who have Toku really enjoyed the premier of Nexus today.

Really curious if the subs were cleaned up at all. Nexus was one of the worst offenders.

Up next: Ultraseven X!
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/20 ... me/.115954So we know that all these shows have subs. I wonder why they've yet to appear on Crunchyroll?

We're still waiting - and it seemed from those interviews that they were in the process of dubbing the Zero movies.

This was mentioned on today's update of the Maser Patrol blog: Toku's Youtube page features Ultraman Cosmos and The Ultraman (as in the '70s anime).

Broadcast rights are seperate from streaming rights. The streaming rights could be tied up with CR, or too expensive, or both. I'm happy the franchise is getting "exposure"... I guess? Is there anyone in the fandom that has contacts at Tsubaraya? I wanna bug 'em.

^Yeah, I suppose.
*exasperated sigh*
It's not like I don't have four unwatched Ultra series on Crunchyroll, but I can't help but get greedy. I want it all! Where are the movies!?

Funny Story...
So I've Had Nexus & Neos for a while in digital form. Watched a few episodes here and there...but never the whole series. We recently visited my in-laws and their cable service has Toku, and my son was all crazy about them showing Ultraman. To be sure, it is definitely a great thing to see Ultraman on TV after so many years, but I just laugh because I've had these shows all along, and until he saw them on TV, he showed no interest lol...

If Dyna shows up on Toku before we have it on Crunchy I'll be quite upset.
