^As nostalgic as I am about Tranzor Z, I doubt we will ever get it. I'm just glad Disctotek finally gave us the original series subtitled on DVD a couple years back.

Ah, so it's an animated film, then.

CGI mechs and traditionally animated humans. It looks pretty cool - and it has the classic theme song!

Between this movie and the (really awesome looking Yuasa directed) Devilman anime for Netflix it looks like we're in the midst of a Go Nagai renaissance. A 'Nagaissance' ?

Well my interest in this just increased 10 fold. I thought it was going to be a live-action movie. The fact that this is still anime excites me to no end Looks Amazing!

Somehow we missed a couple full trailers that Toei has released. This first one was released about 2 months ago:
This second trailer came out on November 9th, and I think is on Toei's official Youtube channel. SPOILER WARNING, just in case, this second trailer seems to have more scenes from later in the movie (perhaps at the end).

Based on the early promotional material, I'd got it into my head that this would be live-action. The animation looks gorgeous, but the director's previous projects make him seem like a curious choice; he's mostly directed magical girl stuff before this.

Im all in for this, looks great! This is much more than just the retelling of the original I thought it would be.
