^I had a blast with that last episode. I never expected to see him again; and for such a horrible villain, the episode does an impressive job making one sympathize with him. Great atmosphere overall.
...And I agree on that fight; it was quite funny without being over-the-top. This episode's moods were all over the place.

Man, the actors for Gai and Juggler have had a serious workload, what with a 25 episode series, 12 episode spinoff, and a movie all in a rather tight time period.

Tsuburaya Productions and distributor Shochiku have provided SciFi Japan with a big update for their upcoming film, ULTRAMAN ORB THE MOVIE, that includes the latest voice cast and theme song news, a trailer, high-res poster art (2 designs) and several new photos.

watchet a couple opf recent episodes (Girl with Blue Ribbon, and the one about the alien coffee house). They are not too bad as episodes themselves. if this were a full 50 (ish) episode series like Mebius, I'd say there would be plenty of room for stand alone episodes, but since (I have heard, correct me if I am wrong) that this is only 26, I think they should focus more on the overall story arc. Well it seems 23 gets back to it though with Juggler, cant wait.

This week's opening half of the show's climax was great. The first scene was eerie, the overall tone was epic, and was that new VTL guy from Godzilla 2000? And jeez, that cliffhanger!

Phew, really enjoyed the finale. Ultraman X and Ultraman Orb have to be the best Tokusatsu on the market within the best decade, right? The quality of these shows given the, I'm sure, minuscule budget (especially compared to SS and KR) is phenomenal.

I absolutely look forward to the movie, and hope Kiyotaka Taguchi is planning whatever comes next for Ultraman!

Solid end to the show, and fitting to its overall themes. The Ultraman franchise is definitely in a new golden age. I just hope it can keep up this level of quality.

A great ending to the series. I was honestly thinking about dropping it during the early episodes, but it has certainly gotten better in the latter 2/3's of the episodes. This was a fitting finale (not giving any spoilers out) and it raised a show I was getting ready to hate (something no Ultraman series has done so far) in it's early parts to one I truly love.

Now we have to wait and see if we get Origins over here.

Almost forgot about this, did anyone else think the sudden appearance of VTL bureaucrats in the last two episodes was a nod to Shin Godzilla?

Lots of villains, and it seems the main thrust of it is X/Orb team-up.

Does Kohji Moritsugu dress like a combination cowboy/Romani all the time? It's a bold look.

Looks solid. I liked the Hawaii set. I maintain that Kiyotaka Taguchi is integral to how good the practical effects work looks. I've only seen like three episodes of Orb Origin, but it's not good.

We watched the first 3 episodes tonight and they were pretty interesting. I'm not totally sold on the SSP, especially the girl as she is very annoying, but so far I have no complaints. My g/f is hooked on it too.

So we just finished watching episode 16 of Orb and it's been really great thus far, although, I could have done without the clipshow (thank the gods I was able to skip to the next episode since there was no reason to watch something recapping what I just spent the last several hours before it watching). I really love his Hurricane form, but I think my favorite is the Belial/Zoffy one. He is just a total badass when he goes all Man of Steel on his enemies.

I wasn't a fan of the SSP initially, but they have grown on me significantly since the first episode. In fact, it seemed like once the show moved past their antics of being storm chasers every episode they got much better. My favorite episode is probably the one in the forbidden forest but my favorite scene is when the psychic girl is sitting next to Gai and calls him out as being Orb. That was freaking hilarious.

On the other hand, I was kind of disappointed that Metron just disappeared while Don Nostra and the other dude were just killed without accomplishing anything. We never even got to watch them fight Orb. The little dig Metron makes about having to cancel the cigarette plot was down right hilarious though and I loved it when they were all playing cards.

Speaking of cards, the gimmick is cool, but weren't these cards also the gimmick in X? I remember the X movie I saw a few week's ago using those very cards that the alien scientist dude created.

Lastly, the effects in this show are really impressive. The miniatures are spectacular looking and there have been some truly great camera angles. Overall, I'm really impressed with this show and it seems to have been an excellent choice to get my g/f into the franchise as she is really enjoying it to, maybe even more than I am.
