I think I'm more keen on catching up on Kyoryuger, plus there's Kamen Rider Gaim and Kill la Kill for me to watch as well. ANYTHING THAT'S NOT GINGA. I'd sooner finish Neo Ultra Q despite how much I don't want it to end!

Somewhere in Ultraman Ginga's first four episodes there's two really good episodes of another show.

The problem isn't what they have to work with so much as how poorly they're handling what they have to work with. The battles of the first two episodes are excellently staged but the scripting and editing of those episodes are really, really mediocre. The next two episodes improve immensely in the writing and editing (and cinematography!) departments and for the first half of those episodes, I was completely enthralled but then the special effects battles were so sluggishly-paced that they were completely unbearable to watch. LE SIGH. I actually love the stripped-down setting of the series and I really enjoy the relationship between Hikaru and Michiru (plus sofubi Taro is HILARIOUS) but the execution of the show as a whole is terrible.

recently a fan site (over the rainbow) started subbing Ultraman GAIA ...

The design of GAIA has always left me cold....the design for GINGA i think is better....but that s where it stop....

it is such a pleasure to see (re-discovered with sub) what a REAL ULTRAMAN show should be....great story, good actors, fantastic special effects, lots of magnificient miniature work, original monsters, it is great to see HOW GOOD that show was....and by comparaison how PITYFULL the new show is....

HOW SAD that TSUBURAYA pro is celebrating 50 years with one of the worst product he ever did.

I LOVE Ginga's design. For all of the shortcomings of the show I feel like the design is really solid and the best Ultra design since Nexus for me.

I think the glowing bits were a great way to mix things up. Too bad it's wasted on this "tv show." And I guess none of us should've been surprised that he changed colors. I mean, seriously, an Ultraman in this day and age that doesnt have like 40 different forms for the sake of selling toys? That's just out of the question, apparently.

here we have some new photos of the second theatre special....with SUPER GRAND KING and featuring ULTRAMAN, ULTRASEVEN and TIGA.
Unfortunotly ...still no budget ...there still fighting in the school s backyard.

I have never seen an Ultra series having such a weak response from fans , usualy we have reviews of somekind but this time around ...not one review of the first THEATRE SPECIAL .

I m already hoping it ends quicly so we can think of a new proper series.

I think the raws for episodes after episode 7 came out. I really wish Over-Time would sub them by now.
