The Story: Alien invaders use some sort of time stopping device to kidnap a prominent scientist who is also on the payroll of the TDF. Least they chose the right victim....as the show boasts him as being among the smartest people alive. The aliens also wisely use him to discredit Dan.
The Seijin/Kaiju: The Villa aliens are another species brought to life via puppetry. Luckily, the effect is much better this time around. At least when it is normal size, the moving tentacles look reasonably lifelike. It loses its effectiveness a bit once it kaijusizes. Of course, not for a moment do you ever think this thing has a chance against Ultraseven. He needs a challenge.
The SPFX: Nothing to note beyond what I mentioned above.
The Other Stuff: Sooo...after letting Dan into the Ultra Guard on more or less of a whim NOW they decide he might not be trustworthy? That time stopping technology probably has way more useful applications than what the Villa were using it for.
Overall, a decent episode, but I like episodes 2 and 3 best so far.
