Notice how in that shot there are roman numerals for VII and IX but no "VIII"? #TLJremovalfromcanonconfirmed

Back in 1984 Weird Al wrote a fun little parody of the song "Lola" called "Yoda". It has since been made into several fan videos on Youtube, but I found this one to be laughably prophetic starting around the 2:30 mark.

Plus, it's not like the Empire never had any in-fighting or undermined each other. In New Hope Vader's authority is undermined by Tarkin. In Empire, Vader kills underlings constantly. In Jedi, The Emperor gives Vader the business and Vader ultimately betrays him.

Actually, I really like the First Order in the new movies. They're a bunch of trust fund kids playing fascist dress up, very relevant for our time.
I hope the dramatic potential of them being lead by someone with no ideology behind their own ego is explored in the next movie.

SW toys coming to stores near you Oct 4th, and the majority of it going RTS, then back out to dollar stores after January 1st.
Toyfair starts today. here is Hasbro's big splash add...notice anything missing...? Any
prominent brands.?
That's not to say that nothing form SW will be shown from ToyFair, There will no doubt be plenty, but SW Merch has been in the loss column for 2 years straight now, something previously unheard of.

Meanwhile, in the world of cinema...
Disney & Pixar's Incredibles 2 was a massive hit last year. It had the 3rd-biggest domestic box office haul of 2018 and came in 4th place worldwide. Its $608 million North American haul presently puts it at 9th place on the grosses chart and its $1.24 billion global total has it at 15th place on the chart. Still, even the leggy and family-driven smash hit Incredibles 2 failed to match Star Wars: The Last Jedi's box office totals from six months prior, neither domestic ($620m) nor worldwide ($1.33b).
Star Wars - Episode IX is likely to be the 2nd-biggest film of 2019 after Avengers: Endgame, although it might rank lower if Frozen 2, The Lion King and/or Captain Marvel end up going supernova. Man, Disney really owns the film industry now.
