I'm good without the mutation stuff. To be honest, that was so dumb and pointless as it was only 2 issues in the comics. Thebest part about it was giving us Morbius.

I'm not a big fan of Spider-Man 2, but I SO agree with this article's stance on MCU movies.

Someone had an interesting idea online that would reflect the ideas/opinions of a lot of fans, and they could have fun with it. They could play Beck as a SPFX wizard (a sort of homage to Stan Winston or Rick Baker), and he is completely disgruntled since most modern films use CG and green screens now instead of practical effects. Of course I want to see him go full fishbowl, not a snarky nod, but truly as part of his costume, but I doubt we'll get it.

I don't love it, mostly because it seems to me that the plot seems blazingly obvious. Like, most-predictable-plot-twist-ever obvious.



Maybe I'm wrong. I actually hope I am, because I'd like a storyline that isn't so blatant. I guess time will tell.

At this point, I don't see why it matters. Spider-Man's already established as existing in the MCU and this is the perfect time as any to stop having him team up with the other heroes for a while.

If I were being a bit mean I would post a gif of Miles Morales from Spider-Verse and make some comment to the effect of 'well, this doesn't affect the best Spider-Man,' but I figure that's already been done to death.

Seriously, if the reporting is correct and Disney asked for a 50% share of the profits of these movies then no wonder the deal broke apart. The Spider-Man movies are Sony's biggest grossers, and they want them to give up half of that pie? Doesn't make any sense from their perspective. It just seems like Disney being greedy. They get to have Spider-Man crossover into their films and keep all of the merchandising rights to the character, right? The merch probably makes more money than any movie.

It's crazy what a monkey wrench this throws into things. Crazy!
