I blind-bought this movie on Blu-ray yesterday because I got some money for my b-day and it was on sale.
WOW. This was AMAZING. I had so much fun with it. It was just a blast. So quirky and fun and tongue-in-cheek and over-the-top and pointedly sarcastic yet reverent of what it was sending up, it just sang to me. It sang sweet, whistful nothings and floated me off into a realm where heads explode and sword-legs slash body parts and English gentlemen kick ass and martinis are stirred for ten seconds while staring at unopened bottles of vermouth.
4.5/5. My only complaints being that it is a tad light on gore for something that definitely goes for an R-rating (specifically and especially when ) and where the hell are all the other Kingsman? Lancelot and Gallahad are accounted for by the movie, and Percival is KIND OF, but there's like 7-8 just completely unaccounted for super-spies that presumably could and probably should be helping our main group fight this threat to the world.
