This probably doesn't matter, but I would much rather they call this Star Wars: Rogue One instead of Rogue one: A Star Wars Story. I understand that people may mistake it for Episode 8 if they had Star Wars in the beginning title, but a Star Wars story just seems so weird to me. It just seems so out of place and inconsistent.

I thought Caravan of Courage was Star Wars 8? Aren't the Ewok adventures cannon?

Wow, that's a mighty impressive trailer. Fantastic cast, too.

you know what made me geek out more than anything? They had the "X" shaped antenna on top of the star destroyer bridge standing upright like it did in the original film - it was laid flat in the subsequent movies. But the fact they're paying attention to those kind of tiny details is AWESOME.

But yes, looks pretty great. The one thing that has me a little.... worried (for lack of a better word) is the martial arts. That kinda feels out of place in a film set right before the original. Will certainly wait and see how it integrates in the full film, but it was the one thing that kinda stood out in a not-so-good way in the trailer. Everything else looks friggin fantastic!!

I wonder if the Imperial Officer in white is supposed to be Yularen? They did a good job of fleshing out his character in The Clone Wars animated series -would love to see him play a part in this film.



*Seeing him at 1:01 in the teaser, he has a higher rank, and no mustache, and since this takes place shortly before the original film, I guess its not Yularen.

This actually looks like a good film and will be a nice palette cleanser after that crap we got in December.

I certainly wouldn't call Force Awakens terrible, it was an amiable retread with likable (and mostly new) heroes and in Kylo Ren maybe one of the franchise's most interesting characters... if they don't screw him up later, of course!

But it was a retread. I'm very excited that this film opening up the Star Wars universe in interesting ways.
