the synopsis is out... and theres nothing to indicate there will be giant monsters to fight... or even aliens... its generic enough it could be referencing a flying saucer invasion or giant amorphous CG blob, but it seems like it could just be Jaegers vs Jaegers... I guess I would be game for a mecha movie, but i am monster kid at heart, robots will always come in second.

I was just coming here to post about the toys. Seems Bandai Japan is doing a whole line of pretty sweet looking 6-7inch action figures. Here bbts has a pretty big selection of them: http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Search?Hi ... Brand=1405

But you can find them cheaper elsewhere. HobbylinkJapan has them for almost half what bbts is charging, but they don't have as big of a selection up for order (yet).

Yeah it looks like a couple of other places have it up now, so at this point there's really no reason not to put it back online officially.

And yep, having just watched it, the song they chose does indeed suck. I like the look of a lot of it (if not the sound ), though does anyone get a bit more of a Transformers vibe from this than the trailers for the original? Obviously a certain level of similarity is inevitable, but it felt like they were leaning a bit more in that direction than they have before. And John Boyega giving "The Obligatory Epic Speech" doesn't have the same gravitas as Idris Elba but yeah, it looks like fun.

So; Mecha-Kaiju/Alien Jaegers confirmed. Looks like there's going to be a mix of them and "regular" monsters? At least it certainly looked that way given that some parts showed them fighting Jaegers with the blue kaiju colour scheme and others just kaiju. Which, if is indeed the case, is great! Something for everyone.

Without GDT's layer or grit and steampunk eleborations, coupled with the blue skies... it looks like Ultraman. It's tokusatsu-ness ratchets up. I dig it!

Kaiju vs. robots. robots vs. robots. hybrids? fusions? hordes of small monsters? small jeagers?

Like that the jeager Gipsy fights essentially looks like an evil Gipsy.

Looks like butt effects-wise...and that’s on my phone. I cringe to think what it’ll look like 100x bigger.
