Sin City: A Dame to Kill For (2013)

"Sin City: A Dame to Kill For" was developed by Frank Miller based upon his graphic novel, with a screenplay by Frank Miller and Academy Award winner William Monahan ("The Departed").

Yeah, I don't care about Sin City anymore. Loved the first one in theaters and could barely get through it when I got it on DVD. Its really um... not good.

Visually, its great, but the pacing sucks and the only decent story is the one with Marv.

I really don't like Rodriguez much in general outside of From Dusk Till Dawn and Planet Terror.

Not only that, but I don't think anybody cares about Frank Miller anymore (and they shouldn't- dude has been a parody of himself for over 20 years). And I really think that the Spirit killed his comeback.

I thought Marv's story was good...but I also liked Bruce Willis's story for the most part...it's also been a WHILE since I've seen the movie.

It's the Clive Owen story that just flat-out sucks.

I really liked Sin City, maybe even loved it when I saw it in theaters.

Now I just sort of like it, and the DVD sits gathering dust. I can care less about a sequel.

I love the first movie and I try to watch it once a year.

However, I have to agree about the sequel, the actors are just too older looking now to be able to pull off the believablility of these characters, especially since the events in this movie would need to take place before most of the events in the first one.

I know very little about the comics, but aren't there other characters and stories in the Sin City universe than the ones in the movie?

also, I don't really think everyone is "too old" they pretty much made everyone in the movie look 10 years older than they were already...

There are a few others, but most of the stories still connect. Marv is in A Dame to Kill For. I guess it could work, but I wanted this movie 6 years ago.
