Reasons why I LOVE that a lot of Blu-Rays come with DVDs.
-I only have one Blu-Ray player in my house, and a DVD player in every other major room of the house. So I can watch the movie in my room (where I don't have a blu-ray player).
-Not a lot of my friends own Blu-Ray players, so if I have a DVD copy, I can bring a film over to their place to watch.
-Sometimes a friend I have that DOES have a Blu-Ray player won't want the DVD copy and will give them away. Free DVDs = good.
-I get impatient when people borrow movies from me, so lending out just the Blu-Ray or just the DVD allows me to still have a copy.
-None of the computers I own have blu-ray players, and as I understand, many computers being made now STILL don't.
-Easier to take on trips for use in laptops and portable players.
As for digital copies, I can't watch a movie on my iPod. I put the Dark Knight on there and tried putting it on one night when I was in bed and couldn't sleep and it was damn near impossible due to the enormous strain my eyes were being put under... even with my face right next to the screen. And I laugh every time I see the phone commercials where the dude is watching Avatar on his phone. So you're seriously going to watch a film designed for the LARGEST possible movie screen on a device with the SMALLEST possible screen? Who the hell wants that?
