^That's actually one of the coolest things I've heard about this whole prospective DC movie slate. I think a Wonder Woman period piece is a more exciting prospect than a Batman v. Superman or Justice league movie.

The colossal issue you can run into there is in having this universe of films set in present day where everyone is surprised Wonder Woman exists, then have this prequel set inthe 1920s, thus confusing and contradicting your own previously established timelines. Let's hope DC can avoid doing that.

Oh yeah, I hear they're looking for a female director only because its a female led movie.

This movie is still far off. We should be more concerned with Snyders potrayal of Wonder Woman. Because that will set the bar for the rest of her appearances.

I'm game on the director but not sure about the writer. As long as Zack Snyder is doing his thing with Superman/Batman/Justice League, this is the only DC movie I am looking forward to

And now it'll be a rush job. They'll get some one who is more malleable than Michelle MacLaren and will feel more like a product by committee.

Poor poor Wonder Woman. We're getting before WW gets her own flick. She's the least represented of the main trio of heroes, and it's just sad that she hasn't had a big screen appearance in all these years.

And this is why these DC movies are going to fail. I bet it was McLaren wanting to make WW a woman while WB just wants her to be a sex object.

MacLaren has worked on Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad (such good episodes) so I imagine she is very used to working under the constraints of an established property so I do have to wonder how much she would have to disagree with DC to walk away from such a big gig.

I mean, honestly, this sounds just as good if not better. Jenkins has a solid resume and is also a screenwriter. She was originally supposed to direct Thor: The Dark World.

I'm not as excited about Jenkins as I was MacLaren. There's nothing in her filmography that excites me, and at least one thing that concerns me.
I am concerned that there is a release date but they still don't have a story or even an agreed upon concept..
