I say doing a Justice Society movie would be lower budget, and likely more successful >_>.


Or just adapt the first three episodes of Justice League into a movie. Damn Yo, I personally like DC more than Marvel. I think they have a richer superhero mythos and don't diss on the concept of the superhero the way Marvel does nowadays. Sentry deconstructs Superman... by making a Messianic figure a dude with a mental disability? Stay classy Marvel.

But if there is one thing Marvel has over DC is Marketing.

MARKETING MARKETING MARKETING.

Marvel's movies are consistently better. Their TOYS ARE OMFG better than DC's. Seriously. Mattel can't 3.75 for "OH GODZILLA! WHAT TERRIBLE LANGUAGE!". EVERYONE does 3.75 scale now. Even Power Rangers.

Mattel can't even get that "OH GODZILLA! WHAT TERRIBLE LANGUAGE!" right. They can't even look back and see how to make JL work.

Personally, I think a Justice Society movie would work better. Lower budget, a period piece. More flexibility.

But meh, Warner..

See, I really liked Captain America, the 2nd Hulk film and The Avengers.

While I was kind of indifferent to Thor, and didn't like Fantastic 4 they are clearly better than say... Catwoman or Green Lantern (sniff)...

That's what I mean. DC's strongest medium for telling a story I believe is animation. Batman, Superman, Batman Beyond, JL/U are all one big continuity. It's amazing really. And then there's these new shows they have on, and their DC Universe movies. They're quite good.

I dunno, maybe contract some 3DCG animation studio and tell a tale in the style of those "Pixar Justice League" fanarts that have been floating on the net for years. This past decade, though? Live-Action they cannot.
