Netflix Knocks Out ‘Marvel’s Iron Fist’, No Season 3 For Martial Arts Series

Pretty much saw this one coming. No biggie. I wasn't that impressed. The second season looked to fix some of its issues but it was obviously a case of too little, too late. I'm glad that Marvel's "failures" are only hitting their TV stuff and not the movies --- for the most part.

I wondered when they announced a fifth show (Punisher) if Netflix was going to simply combine Cage and Fist for a Heroes for Hire show. They had decent chemistry in Defenders, and it would keep both brands alive and, ahem, kicking.

Hopefully this means Heroes for Hire is in the works then because I can't think of any other place to finish off both storylines. Not to mention I want to see Misty!

Well then I don't know if i even want to bother watching DDS3 now. Why should I watch a show that is going to leave off on a cliff hanger that may never get resolved?

Agents of Shield outlasted the Marvel Netflix Universe.

This is a damn shame.

I prefer the Netflix universe to a lot of the cinematic universe. I thought Luke Cage and Iron Fist were substantially improved in season 2. The set up for Luke Cage s3 was great. The set up for Iron Fist s3 was the cheesy golden age stuff (although Brubaker did some interesting stuff with it in the comics). I would watch new seasons of Jessica Jones or Punisher, but would fine stopping here. Kingpin in S3 of Daredevil was fantastic, even better than the first season. For me losing Luke Cage season 3 and Daredevil season 4 are the biggest losses of this move.
