I was just referring to the part about letting a franchise die. It's true many of them sputter out with a whimper...but I like to think there's hope that someone could come along with a worthy story to keep it going in time. Unfortunately, Hollywood doesn't often have a lot of patience for such quality. I do admit I'm probably not like a lot of other movie goers. If I find something I like...I do enjoy regular installments, even if some are lackluster. Rarely does something anger me enough to swear it off. I absolutely loved the last Rambo movie, and I hope that a story good enough to spark interest with the appropriate parties will come along.
I'd love more original stories as well...but again, that just doesn't seem to be on Hollywood's agenda these days.
