To be fair to Fox, they were only following Marvel's Ultimate Galactus lead when they made the character an intergalactic planet swallowing cloud. Obviously this doesn't mean it was a good idea, but Fox doesn't deserve to shoulder all the blame for that decision.

We all know just how troubled production on Fantastic Four has been, especially as Josh Trank's behaviour led to him being fired from the Star Wars spinoff he was attached to! Now, it's been revealed that Matthew Vaughn stepped in to direct those reshoots...

Could we see Bryan Singer shepard Fox's cinematic universe? That's the word on the geek-street anyway. A new report claims the plan is for Singer to take over from Josh Trank on Fantastic Four 2, and then helm that X-Men/FF crossover we've been hearing so many rumors about...

I can see the potential in the story, but maybe not necessarily with the re-envisioned F4 of Trank's movie. If it was me I'd take the crossover to outer space and bring along the Silver Surfer for some adventuring in the Shi'ar Empire. It could be a good set-up for a true Phoenix entity movie (or perhaps a couple movies would be better).

It's tracking at 12% on RT right now. Granted I think SOME of that is because Josh Trank is evidently dead-set on making enemies in Hollywood, but yeesh.

Wow! Just wow! So many bad reviews everywhere! Sad, but this may be a good thing. After this failure Fox may give up on making anymore Fant4stic movies and give the Fantastic Four rights back to Marvel.

1. That is funny that Fox is now backpeddling on the notion about FF and X-Men being in the same universes.

2. Give it a rest Fox, you CAN'T pin the blame for it being utter **** on that.

Apparently Fox wants to negoitate an X-men TV Show. I wonder if Marvel will barter over the rights of FF to make it happen. Ideally I'd like to see it where Marvel gets ownership of FF and then strikes a deal with Fox to use X-men ala their Sony/Spider Man deal. That way we can get a really kick ass Infinity Wars movie and maybe eventually do a Secret Wars film.
