^ if they're so concerned, why don't they just not make the movie? It's insane to think about how when the wheels get put into motion to make a movie and at a certain point it can't be stopped even if the studio now thinks it's a bad idea. Kevin Smith is making a new He-Man animated series, and She-Ra is in the middle of a popular reboot run. Why not let those enjoy their time in the spotlight?

Suits are spending WAAAAY too much time trying to reinvent the wheel. Film it in much the same spirit and sense of wonder & fun as the old Filmation series. Quit trying to find a more believable way to present this franchise. It's a wonderfully rich and endless well to drink from. But so many folks working on this over the years obviously just don't get it. How many articles have we read where the flow of came & went writers who were trying to "break" the story agonized endlessly over ways to keep/change/explain the names of these characters, because they were embarrassed about them??? If you are ashamed or embarrassed about something (or feel it's dumb and beneath you) then quite clearly you are absolutely NOT the right person to be working on it. They have goofy names. So what? Introduce them and move on. It never seemed to bother kids back in the day when they were playing with them in record numbers. They accepted and that was that. Like I said, the wrong people are overthinking this far too much. Embrace the wackiness and run with it.

As much as I love He-Man, I really hope this movie project dies and never sees the light of day. Judging from what I'm hearing about Keven Smith's upcoming He-Man (or should I say Teela) series and the current She-Ra series (the less I say about that the better), I have absolute zero confidence in Hollywood in making an entertaining and faithful He-Man movie adaption. It will most likely end up being a very pale shadow.

Agreed. It really is sad that we've come to the point that I've stopped asking for things I really like to be revived, and rather have nothing as opposed to it being potentially ruined.
