Finally got out to see this. I really liked it a lot. Had a lot of fun with it, and Ryan Reynolds' passion is palpable and contagious. The pacing is brisk and I loved the smaller scale.
It's NOT as good as everything that's been lighting up my Facebook feed. I wouldn't call it a top 5 superhero movie, and I don't know if any of the side characters are any good...especially the villain, which basically makes him the worst villain in the entire X film franchise (and would put him right in the middle of the MCU villains). Still, it does what it sets out to do, and I had a smile on my face almost the whole time. A lot of fun, and a solid starter for a series of Deadpool movies/appearances.
Looking forward to Deadpool and Cable, and X-Force, and will definitely buy this on blu-ray and look forward to re-watching it then too.
