Oh boy, just what I've always wanted....a Venom movie that doesn't involve Spider-Man at all!

Also, the eyes don't really look right to me. At least the Sam Raimi version of Venom had that going for it.

Sony just stop. Stop while your ahead already. Let Marvel handle Spiderman and his co-characters for you and you just reap the profits.

Morbius is one of my favorite Marvel characters, so getting a movie on him would be awesome. I also think Jared Leto could actually pull it off IF Sony can competently write the movie. However, that is a very big IF because I don't think Sony understands how this works anymore.

I'd like to think that when you've got a situation where a studio is randomly greenlighting movies you'd end up getting some weird, interesting films out of the deal but Sony is dead set on proving me wrong.

I was *just* coming here to express my disappointment at the missing spider symbol (and also lack of web shooting). This movie looks absolutely terrible. And they’ve got yet another “(anti)hero fighting a doppelgänger of themselves” setup. *YAWN* The last thing I want to watch Venom fight is another Venom.

A man inherits great power, but is too immature to use it properly. He grows into a better version of himself with the help of a hyper-competent female character who may be a love interest. As an improved version of himself he can now defeat the villain who is a dark reflection of himself representing what he could have become.

Wash, rinse, repeat.

I wonder what future anthropologists will make of this...
