That happened well before the change to SyFy.

In fact, I'd argue that since becoming SyFy, the channel has actually gotten BETTER, since it was an absolute pit of AWFUL about 5-6 years ago and now has a couple of good original shows, their original movies don't completely 100% suck all the time anymore, and they don't COMPLETELY shy away from showing an occasional, decent, real Hollywood movie.

It's gone from being a channel I completely and entirely ignore to one that I make sure I note what's on as I'm scrolling through channels.

I miss when you could catch Dark Shadows, Land of the Giants, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea and the occasional black and white film from the 50s/60s on in the afternoons. If there was a scifi channel for classic movies/TV shows then I'd probably sign up for cable again.

^I hope it'll be based on the Silver Age comics, where Superman, Lois, and practically every member of the supporting cast end up taking multiple trips back to Krypton via time travel mishaps.
