I'd be fine with Craig saying some classic secret agent wisecrack. Like pushing a henchman into a shark tank and saying, "He went out for a bite."

Going all serious continually, I think can do more harm than good. I am sure they will find ways to lighten up, because regardless of how serious he was in the novels, that is not the perception most see Mr. Bond.

Skyfall did a nice balance with keeping it serious, but gave us great scenes such as when Bond and Q first meet.

When I think of goofy though, I am thinking more towards Bond jumping on top of alligators, going out into space, looking like he is in his 70s and yet still gets some 19 year old girl to love him, etc.

I liked Craig from the start, as well. I was hyped as heck for Casino Royale. I think QoS was a bit of a misstep, but it wasn't terrible. I think, unless something awful happens with Spectre, the series is in the best shape it's been since Goldfinger quality-wise.

The biggest problems with QoS dealt with its fast paced throw every action scene imaginable into its first half hour nature and that you really need to watch CR right before it or it loses you.

Once the movie slows down to give you breathing room during the opera scene it has either already lost your attention or made you really start to enjoy it.

It's been some time since I've seen QoS but I know that I did not enjoy any of the action sequences because I had no flipping clue what the hell was going on. Like that rope fall fight thing. I know I'm supposed to be excited and fearful of the bad guy out manuring Bond and at some point someone grabs a gun or something but I don't know who so I'm not sure if I should be excited to see Bond off some one stylishly or fearful that the bad guy now has an upper hand, so I just end up not eliciting an emotional response other apathy or annoyance.

I remember there were a few millisecond shots of the boat chase that could have been cool if the came stayed on it instead of either cutting to another shot or shaking like operator is having a grand mal seizure.

No movie should cost that much, let alone a spy movie.

That is kind of crazy, I mean if it results in something as awesome as Skyfall, so be it...I'm just..confused.

I had seen Sean Connery say that Dalton underestimated the role. And then Bronson, who everyone thought was a shoe – in, just never felt that role was his. I read an interview with him and he said that, it’s funny because he was approached back in the Remington Steel days about doing a Bond movie and that was the late 1980’s. Everyone always talked for years about him becoming Bond. Thing is Craig has more going for him as he is a little more believable and visceral then Dalton or Bronson ever was. He fits the role nicely, even the critcs agree. I remember everyone I mean everyone hated Craig before they saw him as Bond and look what happened he was fine. That’s the other dark side of the internet, things get sh-t on before they are even in production.

IF you want a black secret agent, create another series. Bond is white in the books, he should always be white on screen. Sorry, that is just how I see it.

NEvertheless, still no on Elba at all. The man comes off as a pompous dick, and if there is one person I do not want playing Bond, it is a man who is going to treat the fans like scum.
